I need to replace the top on my 98 GT. I really only need to replace the window "screen" but if I am going to have it 75% off I am going to replace both. I have never done this before but feel confident it should fairly strait forward. Where I need help is a supplier for the new top & window...

Old inspection stickers & reissued plates (Texas ? & info)

My guess on reasoning for wanting 2 plates. Theu do not want to get into a situation where they have 2 cars trying to use the same plate. Mike

    ? for Opentracker

Have you thought about taking you upper a step further & putting the drop in the shaft, so no hole drilling is required? I noticed TCP is now doing this. It would be a bit more fabrication as the stock uppers would hit the shaft & need to be modified not to hit the bolts/shaft & strengthend. I...

24" (big block) radiator install question

You may need to drill holes for the lower mounts but I doubt it. The upper uses the same bolts as the hood latch. Mike

    351Cleveland timing

Sounds as if you need to pull the distributor & move it a a tooth or two. This will allow for more adjustment. Spin the engine until it as TDC on # 1 before doing anything. Mike

    transmission cooler mounting question

I just read your other post a few pages back, electric fan issues. What changed as it seemed that you were having no issues after getting the fan working? There should be a bit of a gap between the trans cooler & the radiator but that would no make enough difference to cause it to over heat...

    9" Rear end noise

Sounds like the gears have worn enough to change distance between the pinion & ring gear. Sounds like you need to pull the center section & take a look at the gears & measure the slop with a dial indicator. The fix many be as simple as adjusting the ring gear position a few .001. Mike

    transmission cooler mounting question

You did not mention what size radiator you are running. Do you have a shroud around your electric fan? What is the actual temp that you are seeing? Also you could cut back on the antifreeze a bit & add some Water Wetter, or a similar product. Or possibly a highter CFM fan. But with the...
