    Good Mustang Ii Pics Needed

Greetings all! I hope the administrators are cool with this, if not let me know. My name is Bob Wilson and I am the Editorial Director at CarTech Inc. We have a series of trivia books called 1001 Facts. So far we have done Muscle Car Facts, Drag Racing Facts and Harley Facts. Next up is a book...

anyone bought anything from LAUREL MOUNTAIN MUSTANG

Laurel is a reseller just like every other Mustang parts house out there. The parts they sell usually are the same source as other parts houses as well. Commenting on Laurel based on parts quality isn't really conclusive, they only have access to mostly the same parts as the bigger houses do...

Adjusting valves on 302 with hydralic lifters

I wrote this based off of many aftermarket manufacturers recommendations for our website: CarTech, Inc.: Browsing Steps for Adjusting Valves with Hydraulic Lifters

    Scott Drake "quality"

I was really surprised last year during my restoration at the quality of ALL restoration parts, not just SDs. China will build what you are willing to pay for. It's that simple. Part of the reason many of these Chinese parts suck is our appetite for Wal-Mart pricing. I got some good Drake...

    351 Windsor, considering stroker

4k aint bad at all. And strokers don't have to be a money pit either. It depends on how you use it. I got a Coast kit for less than $1000, and spent 1200 at the machine shop. Most the expenses were expenses I would have had with the 351 anyway. I put about $3500 into mine with ceramic...

Yeah it did. I suspect a gauge problem. That T is fine.

    Hood hinge "nuts"

I searched a long time ago for body bolt and nut lits, and I found one online at the time that looked like it might have the nuts in it based on the picture. Judging by how hard these are to find, I am guessing the pic was actually for a kit that wasn't a Mustang, because I haven't seen it...

    transmission seal fix?

Is it just the rubber seal on the end of the tailshaft? That's an easy fix. You may need a driveshaft yoke as well.

    1970 Mach I FMX Help!

This sounds like a shifter problem or a valve body problem, neither of which would require a rebuild. Rebuilds mostly just replace clutches and rubber seals, so I am not sure you would need one. I would take it to a competent tranny shop.

    1969 hood turn signals

Order both harnesses from NPD and it will become apparent. The signals for the scoop are plugged into the main harness up front and run back. You will see what I mean when you get the harnesses.

My Real-World Test with Synthetic Oil

Synthetic is usually slipperier, and the gains can be both in mileage and 1/4 miles times. Anyone who has tried to use synthetic in a motorcycle with a wet clutch has learned the hard way.

    Rusty coolant explosion

Every 2-3 years, depending on use and climate. Unless you have a sealed system, what is in the overflow is not representative of what is in the rest of the system. It never moves. Being in the northern rust belt, I have always bought my fun cars out west. If there is anything that is really...

    Rusty coolant explosion

While you are in there, flush the cooling system....LOL. You shouldn't have rusty coolant. It's 101, right there with oil changes.

I have heard the hipo manifolds were pretty much the same thing as the 351w manifolds. I could be mistaken.

    Restoring a Rusted Roof

My fold down back seat carpet had staples through the heavy gauge steel. Either Ford had one mean staple gun, or the holes were pre-drilled or something.

    performer rpm 351w

Is this is sold already, I have one for sale for the same price. It's dirtier as it is much older, but all the threads are good and I'll throw in some dirty chrome edelbrock valve covers with it. bobw (at) cartechbooks.com
