so whos gonna get a roush?

After owning numerous Mustangs in varying levels of trim, I'm well aware of the capabilities and aim of the Mustang. It is nice, however, for those of us who desire a car that's fast and can also corner and brake (yet still want to stay with Ford) to have options available such as Roush and...

so whos gonna get a roush?

Don't know why they showed a side exhaust on one of the pics. They have been very up front with the Roush owners that they will no longer have side exhaust. Even explained at length why it was no longer possible with the new Mustang. :(

so whos gonna get a roush?

Read some preliminary estimations by Ford that put the skidpad at 0.8x; can't remember exactly. I know it will be an improvement over what we have now stock but we have so far to go... Any updated slalom, skidpad results to the contrary would be much appreciated.

so whos gonna get a roush?

Have to see it in person. Hard to tell from a drawing what the final product will look like; especially the poor quality drawings they sent out. That said, I will be hard pressed to buy one now that there is no longer side exhaust or supercharger on them. Of course, if the '05 handles as...

Almost drove away in a 03 Roush Classic today...

 Wow, congrats on the purchase. Those extra options explain why it cost so much more (but they are absolutely worth it). When you get time, come over to fnsweet and introduce yourself. A lot of Roush owners frequent the forums there.

Almost drove away in a 03 Roush Classic today...

Roush, Saleen, etc. do depreciate pretty fast, I will give you that. That's why I suggested to the thread starter that he buy a USED Roush. As for rarity, it depends on how you want to look at it. If you group Roushes in with all other Mustangs then they are certainly not rare. Since they do...

Almost drove away in a 03 Roush Classic today...

Comparing the Stage 3's to Vipers or Italians is apples to oranges. S3's run $40-60K. Vipers run around $80K. The sexy Italians are $100K++. Looking at it in monthly payments doesn't make sense. A more fair comparison is to compare the S3 to something in its price range; such as the...

Almost drove away in a 03 Roush Classic today...

Don't know all the particulars of your situation... However, if you're interested in Roush Mustangs and don't want to drop that much coin; look into a used one. There are a lot of used Stage 3's for sale right now. Many of them are in the mid to high 20K range. Much more reasonable monthly...

stage 3 roush , longtube review

Yeah, that TB is stock. Thanks for the info on everything. Darn it, now you're going to make me go spend some money  :D . May have to try the previously mentioned trick of telling the wife the car broke.

Was the Roush stock (using the term loosely), prior to the longtubes?

    03 Snake or Saleen SC?

:D Don't get too bent out of shape over some magazine numbers. I've seen quarter-mile numbers on the Stage 3 range from 12.3 all the way up to 13.6. Same thing with the '03 Cobras, some mags have them in mid 12's, one had it upper 13's  . Stock vs stock they put down about the same...

    03 Snake or Saleen SC?

Are you more into straight drag-racing or do you want to use the car for open-track racing as well? For a quarter-miler, no question, get the Cobra. There's not a big difference between a stock '03 Cobra, s/c Saleen and Stage 3 in the quarter. However, once you start modding, the Cobra will...

    What's everyones favorite body kit???

Speedworx sells them, a couple others as well (can't remember :( ). Many of the Roush dealerships are now selling Roush parts at a lower price than what you get from Roush itself. Check over on fnsweet.com there are some roush reps who can hook you up.

Where can I order a Rousch body kit from ?

www.speedworx.com However, I've heard some people complain about them when they ordered Saleen parts. Don't know if it was Speedworx's fault or Saleen's but have seen a number of complaints nonetheless. www.roushparts.com Crappy site, but they have what you need (even if it is...

For guys with Roush Stangs or clones

Believe you're right on this. The vast majority buy them from a Roush dealer. I've heard of people buying Cobras and such and having them sent to Roush for 'Roushification' but this is not the norm.

    Eclipse vs Mustang

One of the things that has been mentioned already is that of reliability; and it is something to really consider. I wouldn't bring this up about just any car. Also, check out how much these cars cost to get repaired. It is a LOT more than a Mustang. They have their positives but those are...

04 Cobra purchase, or just blow my 00 GT?

I vote Cobra. You get to have all the power, plus a warranty to go with. :nice: Unless, of course, you feel the need to mod the heck out of that car too :D .
