    Need help finding a part!

Flaming River has a rag joint that will work when going from a power to a manual rack. I am not sure of the part number, but I called them when I did the conversion. I expained my setup and I think it was around $80 bucks for the part you are looking for with a smaller diameter.

Mustang Cruise 4/22! Raleigh - Greensboro!

Hey 96GT, Just stumbled upon thread in another forum. Saw you might have a new GT500 showing up. I'm from High Point and just finished my 1976 Cobra II. I have not even driven on the highway yet, this might be a good test. Did a T5 conversion and would like to see cruising RPM's You did say...

    t-5 questions

The 94-95 t5 is longer and people do run without the pilot spacer but it is still slightly too short for the mII bell. You also want a lighter flywheel? If you are not using headers just use the whole 94 setup with larger flywheel and many choices. I have heard people getting headers around...

    1978 Mustang II T-top model???

Xmod Scale I thought about same thing, but xmods are 1:28 scale. From looking around the web some models have a slightly longer wheelbase, and I think some people have successfully put regular models on the frame but I have yet to see any real proof.

    4cylinder T-5 question

Yes it will work There are alot of opinions about this with most people telling you no. All you need is a v8 bellhousing and modified pilot bearing. A 4 cyl T5 can easily handle a stock MII v8. Probably better than the original RAD I got lucky as I used a T5 from an 86 SVO turbo. This...

    In search of Vince

Hey Guys, Getting my car back together and I have hacked up my original crossmember to hold the t5. looks sloppy. I know Vince "the fabricator" used to visit boards and sell a custom crossmember. Don't think he sells them anymore but he may have posted a CAD file for measurements. Does...

Found some new MII shirts for sale...

I saw this thread last week and ordered the polo and the t-shirt. Payed with Pay-Pal and they showed up a couple days ago. Very pleased with the quality of the Polo. The t-shirt is a Hanes and seems a little thin on the thread count. I am 6ft pushing 200lbs and the large size fits pretty good...

    Tie Rods?

About a year ago, I pulled my power rack off to replace with a manual one, not 100% sure if it was flaming river or not. I did buy the rag joint piece from flaming river to connect to my column. Anyway, I put both side by side to eyeball the width so I could put the manual in. At that time I...

    As rare as a Packard?

This is a little off topic but kind of interesting. I went to the Lowes Motor Speedway Swap meet - Car Show over the weekend with a friend who restored a 38 packard. We didn't get caught up looking at cars but were more interested in searching for various parts. 38 packard vs Mustang II...

    What is this?

While cleaning up rust on driver door hinges, came across this box. It's attached to 2 hard lines that I am going to assume is probably to gas tank. Do I need the box? Can I just connect the 2 lines and bypass? I am sure whatever it was meant to do is no longer functioning. Smog stuff right...

    Bumper question

Fixing Bumper Had no idea bumpers rusted out and are difficult to find (like most II parts). After looking around internet, I think I probably have a pretty good set. The rear is the worst and I think I will leave alone and not try to peel away. I wirebrushed and coated with rust neutralizer...

Did I mention I met a Monroe Handler? Pics

Looks the same to me That car has t-tops. The guy selling the Handler for 35k says that his car is the only one built with T-tops. I assume that's the same car. http://www.cars-on-line.com/21885.html Clicking back and forth, they sure look the same. Rear tag, hood turned forward (I...

    Bumper question

I'll post some pics Thanks for the suggestions. I am thinking I should leave alone. But I will grab some pics saturday. I have been going through car trying to clean up any nasty rust before paint job. I trust your experience. To be honest I never thought about the bumper, or how hard they are...

    Bumper question

Getting ready for paint. I dropped the rear bumper and removed the heavy rebar support section. There is a thin metal section that attaches the urethane to the heavy support. The urethane is bumpy in some spots like rust has formed underneath. My question is. Do I try to peel the urethane...

    MII In A Movie.

I have WAY too much free time at work these days! It's weird how you notice these cars, maybe because there doesn't seem to be many on the road anymore. I think Doug and Carrie should be buying the little gem in the window.

    MII In A Movie.

The King of Queens I have a couple DVD's of this sitcom. There is an episode where Doug and Carrie go car shopping. You can see though the dealership window and I swear there is a II in the lot. It looks like a 78 cobra with the fat over hood stripe. I have been meaning to snap a screenshot...

    Yet Another T5 Question

A Little Pricey Ouch! $400 for that setup? There was another shifter relocator website bouncing around here. I think the other kit was like $250 and you didn't need a T56 shifter. I lost the website, gonna google and try to come up with it. andy
