    Steeda Vs, Eibach Pro kit

It depends whether you want the car to be "slammed" or to handle good. If it's the mad tight lowered look you're going for, get whatever springs are cheapest and don't worry about the shocks/struts. I you want it to handle good, go with the Eibach prokit and some adjustable KYB struts/shocks at...

    The Night Hallwoeen Died :(

I've never been "trick or treating" in my life. I grew up in a rural area that was not condusive to walking door to door. I don't feel left out, kids eat to much candy anyway.

any advantage to a cone filter?

I tried alot of different setups when I had my '89. One with the cone mounted on the funnel shaped rubber hose that is clamped to the throttle body. I put it in the fender, I put it where the air box was, I put it where the blower used to be. I could never tell a difference between any different...

    Dogbone cable

I had to get one a while back, the dealership was the only place that had one and it was $25. Just turn it off every time you stop and hit the starter in first gear to get going, it'll be jerky at firsrt but once you get it down you'll be fine. EDIT: :jester:

    Livernois Dynoes '05 Mustang GT

Because when the car is on the dyno, the engine doesn't have to push the weight of the car. The wheels just freewheel on the rollers. Adding resitance is like using big pieces of rubber to simulate weight on workout machines. You're not actualy moving any weight, but the resistance makes it seem...

2.3l foxes have rear wheel drive?

Where do you get this from? Did you weigh them yourself? I'm just curious because I've read that the difference was only 40 pounds. I read that from a fairly questionable source, some website I came across. And, 100lbs off the nose would make a really big difference in handling. I'd like to see...

Selling notch for 14sec turbo coupe

Remember he's in a thunderbird. They are pigs, heavy that is. Also 14.2 is nothing to scoff at, it may not be "real fast" but it's enough to drive spirtedly and have fun.

Might be getting back into the stang

Well, my father died on the 7th of September. He left me nice sum of money, and my camaro is falling apart (after 400,000+ miles) so I plan to rectify that situation while still retaining money for school. My poor beat up '89 notch is just begging for some attention so I think that'll be my...

    Seatbelt, and catalytic converter questions

The rattling noise form the cat is probaly just a loose heat sheild. Check it out, if it's loose either ignore it, rip it off, or replace it. If the seatbelt turns out to be year specific I have a whole '89 seatbelt assembly (whole seatbelt from b-pillar to trany tunnel) I'll sell you (I assume...

which tranny do the SHO use?

The engine is made by Yamaha, I have no idea who made the tranny, wither them or Ford. Perhaps an SHO specific forum may be more appropriate, not to many people around here are familiar with FWD transaxles.

Do v-8 struts work on our cars?

I tried to put the struts from my dad's '00 onto my '89. The mount on the 4cyl is wider. Just another one for that side.

    Question bout FWD cars

The same thing happens, some setups are more efficent than others. M' paw had a 300M a while back that was 240some$h!t HP at the Flywheel but they run 15s. I'm not to versed in such matters, maybe this link'll help. This is not the link This is not another link

Okay, who knows alot about front end work?

That has mostly to do with the spring shock package, which is easily fixed with the aformentioned coilover kit. The II's suspension is superior in that it uses two control arms per side instead of McStruts, the wisbone type suspension keeps the wheels from changing their camber wildly while...

Does Anyone Own a Corner Carver

My dad's '00 GT (recently traded for an '85 vette, yeah I know) handled like an absolute monster. I think he said he had 7 grand into mods by the time he got rid of it, including 1 K&N (the only engine mod besides the blowmasters that were on it when he got it) and a $400+ Recaro. Suspension...

    Lowering help and opinions

1.5 inch is plenty, I wouldn't go any farther than that. I could imagine the possibility of the bushings wearing out quicker due to the constant deflection, but I've never actualy heard of that happening. This sight has good basic info about the mustang's suspenion...

    Shifting Question

Starting off in second can be hard on your clutch due to the higher revs and greater amout of clutch slipping needed. As far as skipping gears, I can't think of any reason it'd hurt anything. I assume you have a reason, though I can't imagine. Some gears may be easier to skip than others. In my...
