What suspension for a stock '85 Stang GT

Ok, I know that this question has been asked in general several times, but usually the information I read about is not applicable to my '85 GT. In fact most parts for mainstream upgrades start with either '86 or '87. So my question to people who really know what they are talking about (not...

    Drifting!!!

I simply think drifting is a stupid way of burning up tires. Pretty dumb if you ask me, slap some stickers on your car and then try to slide around corners? No Thanks

Royal Purple okay to use in replacing T5 tranny fluid?

Heck yeah To expand on that Royal Purple is a great high performance lubricant, I have heard nothing but great things from everyone who has used it. I have seen it endorsed by several shows on TV like "horsepower Tv" and "Trucks." When I stop being lazy I will definately use it in my T-5.

    just had the 3.73's installed!!

I swear, if I hear one more person suggest subframes as one of the first upgrades to a mustang. You have no need for them until you begin to produce more power and a set of gears will not put you over the critical point. Your right that subframes are a great investment but certainly not to begin...

Carburetors, what do you look for when purchasing one?

Cheap Make a "design for manufacturability" product to keep costs low. Of course don't go with poor quality. Also make a carb with good directions for setting it, not ambiguous wording and such.

    Tapping noise on startup

A lot of engine wear comes when first cranking up your engine. This is because it has very poor lubrication for the first few seconds. If you are running thin oil or synthetic then a great solution is to get something like LUCAS oil additive, it helps the oil stick to the vital engine parts so...

How do you heat your work area?

The best, easy and quick fix is to use a Kerosene "torpedo" heater. Mine is about 125,000 btu and works very well for a medium space. The only draw back is the fumes but they really have never bothered me much. Incredible heat for the money, and man it heats up the joint really quickly.

Why cant I shift at high rpm's?

Could someone please explain to a dummy like me, in technical terms or otherwise, why you can't shift gears until the rpm's drop from redline? This is normal right? Also whats the best way to get quick shifts when pushing your car? Thanks 5.0 brainiacs.

    Shaving antenna on Fox Body

It is really difficult to cover the hole if you have never done it, but if you have a few tips then its a breeze. So here is the best way I have ever seen. Basically the hardest part would be cutting and shaping the replacement piece. FIRST You need a good body hammer and dolly for shaping...

Help me find this pop in my front end.

I took my mustang into a factory dealer recently for the same problem. Basically you have a joint or bushing worn out somewhere. The official quote they gave me was for both a "Sway bar bushing" and a "Control arm bushing". Hope this helps as I typed this directly from my estimate. Also they...
