    That’s too far for me. The rivets that hold the plate down corroding is common. All you need to do is find new rivets that will hold the plate down.

    By non-hardening they mean that it doesn’t get ridged. It will cure and not be runny or sticky anymore but will remain flexible. Hardening types of sealers would be used to attach the frame or trim to your door glass.

    Thanks but that is too far. I found one in Ohio but that will cost me $350-$400 in fuel just to get there and back. Not to mention tolls and a 17 hour round trip drive. Has to something closer!

    Now that I think about it I have the 2.5 to 3.5” Magnaflow slash cut tips (18" long) and I will not be able to use the stock mounting holes in the frame near the shackle so I will have to do something different anyway.

    So you don’t have to get a different spool? Don’t want to hijack this but I have one of the SS Magnaflow kits and have to well the rear gangs that are supplied to the tailpipe. Can’ see buying a whole spool of SS wire just to do that.

    My bar fit perfectly even after I replaced the shock tower. Did you get the 67-68 specific bar or the generic one? How long is your bar? I’ll get out to the garage soon and I’ll measure what I have.

    You could just get an adapter plate to use the older style bell with a T5 or TKO cant you? With a stock 164-tooth (Galaxie/Failane) bell or aftermarket (you can usually use either flywheel) bell and the adapter you should be ok.
