    It all depends on how much power you are trying to make. I prefer mechanical pumps when possible. Under 500hp should be fine with a mechanical. It is hard to give much help w/o knowing more about your engine.

    I don't see any 10.5 fitting. 26X8.5 works pretty good with reasonable horsepower. Much over 450whp it gets tricky. A 28" tall tire makes it a little tougher. If you get a 28x9 to fit you can go pretty fast.

    How much power does the Saab make? HX35s seem to work pretty good on 4 cylinders. I guess you know you are limited on power by the 8.2 block. It will still out run 99% of performance car you see around though.

    Subframe Connectors?

    I personally don't like available sfc's. They all tie to the floor support and not the frame rail. The floor supports are thin enough that you can bend then by hand. The front frame rails are much thicker and more suitable to weld to.

    Hooker 88400 shorties will work on a 67 with an 8.5" deck. A welder and a saws all is about all you need. Building my headers was by far the hardest part. The rest is pretty easy even for a beginner. Where are you?

    You would be way ahead in both power and money to put L92 heads on it. They will outflow the 40 year old stuff by a lot. Especially at low to mid lift. They are also very light.

    Your 3rd gear clutches were either on their way out or your line pressure was low. When it was puking fluid it was likely too hot which contributed too. Any of the three could have started it all. The same clutch pack that controls 3rd also is used for reverse. I like this one...
