    Mallory Billet HEI, Finally!

Any Mallory dealer (such as Summit) can order one for you. No one yet stocks any for Ford engines so you are probably looking at a two week wait once the order is placed. Hopefully Mallory dealers will start to stock them soon.

    Mallory Billet HEI, Finally!

Correct. The coil mounts in the cap and the ignition box is built-in. Everything is in the distributor. One wire hookup. Just remember that you must have a full 12 volt power source so if you have an older car that had a resister wire feeding the ignition you must run a new wire with full...

    Mallory Billet HEI, Finally!

Nearly a year after they were first announced, we started shipping the 75 series HEI distributors last week. Chevy versions were built first because there were more on order but all the parts are available to assemble versions for most american V8 so if you place an order for Ford (part number...

Have question about ignition box install

That wire completes a ground when you hit a selected rpm. You use it when you want some electrical device (such as nitrous solenoid) to activate at a selected rpm. Below the selected rpm the wire is an open circuit.

Unilite, MBI and E-Spark: The Real Deal (long)

No, as I said above, it is the wire that feeds the coil (ie the stock resistance wire) that needs the resistance. This prevents too much amperage through the coil and the GREEN wire to the module. The red wire works better when it gets full battery voltage. Many of the Mallory instructions say...

Unilite, MBI and E-Spark: The Real Deal (long)

Output is the same. Same dwell, same energy. The E-Spark is basically a modern version of the Unilite. Modern manufacturing lowers the cost. Modern circuit board design improves module life.

Unilite, MBI and E-Spark: The Real Deal (long)

Yes, the E-Spark module can be used anywhere a Unilite module is used. Direct replacement. The E-Spark is being released this week at the PRI show. You should be able to buy them after Christmas. The price will be less than a Unilite module.

Unilite, MBI and E-Spark: The Real Deal (long)

I hear so many myths and partial truths about Mallory ignition modules that I thought I'd try posting the facts on a the forum to clear things up. Mallory has three types of modules (not including the new rev limiting HEI module) that fit inside the distributor: Unilite, Magnetic Breakerless...
