    94-95 spindles let's chat

The brake system options from TBM, Strange, and Baer for a stock spindle will stop a car going 170+MPH in the event of a chute failure.

    94-95 spindles let's chat

For a street strip car you want the stock spindles. You can't get as much caster with the 94-95 spindles and the stock stuff can be more stable at high speeds because of this. The only really good reason to upgrade them is if you want some budget brakes, but you will spend more money on a...

    Drivetrain Weird clutch disengagement issue

Was it a new cable and what brand is it? I have had a few different brands over the years and the only one that had any kind of longevity and consistency was the non adjustable cable from maximum motorsports. All of the adjustable cables stretch pretty bad over time. Since you are saying...

That is what the piston companies call the "B" dimension on the piston. The distance from the valve relief to the ring land. You can ask diamond what the B dimension is and then tell them intended use and they could let you know if you should increase that B dimension. I am guessing that area...

    Hotrod Drag week

There is no limit to what can be swapped out for the drive but usually the drives take 8-10 hours, and with over 300 entries at the event it makes something like that a pretty bad idea. You really need to be able to turn the car around in 1 hour if you dont want to be up till 2am every day. I...

    Hotrod Drag week

I did not make it this year but I went down with a buddy to spectate at Atco on day three. It is an awesome event, if you have a fast streetcar it doesnt get much better than that event. There are also lots of offshoot events popping up all over the country. Summit is doing the midwest drags...

McLeod twin disc meet the hype? Update: We're going to find out...

A bad clutch cable and pivot ball that isnt adjusted correctly is going to make everything much worse. The pivot ball in the factory position is sometimes way to far away from the pressure plate. If you get an adjustable pivot ball and set it to where the clutch fork has about .050''...

    MT ET street R bias

The 28x12.5 is smaller than a 275/60 pro radial, it will fit on a fox. Shifter, a member of other forums confirmed this and ran that tire on his 10.0 index car. Ive seen the 26x10.5 on a 8" wheel and judging off of that i wouldnt put them on a 10" wheel unless it was a beadlock. I would bet...

    MT ET street R bias

Ive driven on stiff wall ET drag slicks 60 miles on the highway each way with no issues, also have done it on the old ET streets. The stiff wall ET drag was more stable at speed than the old ET streets were. I have heard good things about the new ET street R's but dont know anyone that has used...

    Haltech vs Pro-M vs Holley...thoughts?

People build their own EVO and ultimate MS3 boxes? Those are the ones i was talking about.

    Haltech vs Pro-M vs Holley...thoughts?

In my case, i have seen that the holley self learning is years ahead of where the tunerstudio stuff is and that is what makes the holley shine with drivability. I am not talking low lift hydraulic roller stuff, I am talking about stuff that has no business on the street, and with holleys...

    Haltech vs Pro-M vs Holley...thoughts?

The holley has a few loose wire to connect to the fuel pump, grounds, and 12v power, also you would have to wire the tach to the ignition plug on the holley harness. I have run both PNP MS2 and holley, the holley is a much better system, in my opinion. It does everything in one box, and if you...

T56 or tko600? And is the install as simple as it seems? (Foxbody)

In an application that is going to see some serious abuse, like powershifting or drag racing, you can actually break one with way less than 600 ft lbs if you miss on the clutch setup. Look at coyote stock cars, they dont make too much power, and definitely not much torque, and those guys were...

Manual Brake Coversion - Pros And Cons?

Are manual brakes ok for a car that will be driven on the street? Yes Can you tell me how the pedal feel is? If you get the ratio and master cylinder right, the feel is great, obviously it a more firm pedal, but nothing that would stop me from doing it again How are panic stops? For me, no...

    Progress Thread Tannerc91gt’s Build(s) Thread

I had a set with a DOT number stamped right on the side, they needed the DOT stamp to keep them in a bunch of radial classes. MT says not for street use but they are a DOT tire. http://www.stangtv.com/news/new-mickey-thmpson-27560-street-radial-pro-receives-dot-approval/

    NikwoaC's "Commitment Issues" Engine Build

I havent used any of that stuff so i really have no opinion on it. $30 for each gasket is a little steep but Ed's gotta eat too. Since you are the type of guy who would probably be into this, ill tell you what i did... I didnt want to buy an off the shelf gasket for my highports and deal...

    NikwoaC's "Commitment Issues" Engine Build

I always use right stuff around the water ports, i am guessing that is a 1262r gasket, those things always were tough for me, they looked like garbage after minimal time on mine. Ed curtis had cometic make up a intake gasket that matches the 1262r but isnt made out of such a weak material...
