Does anyone else find it hard to shift into 3rd real fast?

No problem now. Tri-Ax shifter installed. Just preload the shifter (press forward while accelerating) and when the shift light comes one, clutch and shifter pops right into place. Preloading works great for me, but I WON"T try it going into fifth! First thru fourth is a breeze. BTW when I...

Mods that can improve gas mileage?

Tell him "Yeah...you're right. I need to be more conservative when it comes to gas mileage. I NEED a Harley. They get 40-45 mpg. That's what I NEED. If I can't have what I need, then I will just do what I want and mod my Stang. Heck, all the mods in the world can't add up to the price of a...

    weird noise?

my pump sounds like a pretty loud thump...first time i heard it i thought i had broken something. i parked the car in the driveway, opened the hood looking for anything wrong. i then started the car (heater was still on) and lo and behold, i discovered we have one loud a$$ pump that cycles...

    weird noise?

climate control pump cycling? maybe you notice it more at low speed vs high speed. BTW the thing cycles with your switch in every positio but "off" and "vent". Just an idea.

raptor shift light people in here!

Had mine on for a few thousand miles now, and not a single incident like that. Don't want to patronize you, but have you double checked your dip-switch settings?

    LACR opinions

You are right about LACR. The sand on the grandstand side of the launch lanes blows across, especially the right lane. Otherwise it's not a bad 1/4. Relatively bump free, but I won't even think about running when the winds are up. Way too much sand and you fight the car the whole way...

    Slight problem...

Did you have the heater on? If your climate controls are set to anything but OFF or VENT, the climate control pump kicks on every few minutes and causes a drain on your electrical system.

    Shifter

Got the okay to buy a new short-throw shifter. Was going to go with the Tri-Ax, but I noticed the MRT got great (albeit only 3) reviews. They make it sound like its identical to the Tri-Ax, but about $20 cheaper. Has anyone installed one of the MRTs and what is your opinion. I also...

Those part #s don't come with a sticker! But I think those spinners will make up for it. Many thanks. Tornado...is that the vacuum they sell that plugs into your cigarette lighter?

Pep Boys rules! It just oozes of HP when you walk through the front door. I love the way they display the high-torque air fresheners right next to the cashiers. As soon as you walk into the neon section, you can just feel the wind rushing through your hair from the boost it gives. Still...

Don't worry...you'll get over it. Just get some more window stickers and it will all be clear enough to you. Be careful, though, as these will lower the rear window humidity level.

Well, I was debating on what CAI I could put on to get the horse up to 300 hp, but I figured a sticker or two on the rear window would do the same (at least it would LOOK at lot faster :p ). As far as the cat-back, I just figured I had to throw that into another thread on SN since it doesn't...

Damn it... I thought the "kit" would come with decals or something for my window. Now I must go to bed in total disappointment. Thanks. BTW, what's the best cat back for my ride?

    Driving a stick...

Best way to learn to drive a stick...borrow a friend's (not too close of a friend) POS import. Drive it til you smoke it. When the clutch doesn't work any more and it looks like carbon horse-hair (if ya didn't grind the gears into a pucilanimous pulp first) then you assess what you did to make...
