Gas wont go down filler neck

The rollover vent in my car was my issue, I have an 03 Cobra tank in a 96 Cobra but I got the blue rollover vent (2003 Ford Mustang Fuel Tank Vapor Vent Check Valve Ford OEM F8DZ-9B593-AB) and hollowed it out, then the tube I connected to a vent filter like for a boat. I don't have a charcoal...

    TKX magnetic VSS Calibration

I got the Abbott ERA installed yesterday, wired it into the stereo ignition power and ground and split the grey/black wire from the vss harness. I configured the ERA to a divisor of 6 and it's pretty close, maybe 7-8 mph slow. I can really fine tune it if I want but I think it's good enough...

    TKX magnetic VSS Calibration

Wow nice man! I ordered one from Abbott and it's supposed to be good. I talked to them on the phone about the Electeonic Ratio Adapter (ERA) with the extended range. He said it would easily adjust to the OSS because it's a starting point of a divisor by 4, then some fine tuning I'm sure but...

Bone stock 2002 4.6 Cobra need performance upgrades

Will longtibes fit on that sucker? I dunno they are a huge pain in the Cobra cars. Either way best bang for the buck? Put a supercharger on it!

    TKX magnetic VSS Calibration

I found this on LMR, I can't seem to find a Dallas Speed Cal, but looks like it might work. https://lmr.com/item/AEI-ERA/abbot-mustang-electronic-speedometer-recalibrator-era-94-04?utm_source=google-shopping&utm_medium=comparison-shopping&utm_campaign=google-shopping-v2

Vent tube to charcoal canister more than likely kinked or pinched between the tank and body. Check your install.

    TKX magnetic VSS Calibration

I swapped to a TKX this last week on my 96 Cobra and I tried plugging directly into the magnetic pickup VSS that comes on the transmission since it was the same connector. I didn't think it'd be accurate but it's reading like 120mph at 35 actual so is there a way to calibrate off the magnetic...

    I’m Curious —-Why a Fox?

I think you'll find that the mustang community is extremely fun. I have been around this community for a very long time and while I haven't ever built anything notable to the larger community, I have had many mustangs and they have always brought me joy. I was sad to see the 5.0 section go...

    Electrical #8 fuse power draw

You ever figure this out? I have seen so many posts about parasitic draw and these cars with very few solving their issues (at least posting about it). I currently have a 96 Cobra that is drawing .160 amps, I have tracked it to fuse #8 and #16, which I then followed those circuits and found...

Hello from a Newbie and his Quest To 300/300!

I would say that while gears don't "make power", they get you in the power band quicker, so it's more "efficient". I have a 96 Cobra with a built motor and intercooled Vortech with 3.31's and I have actually had a few blown 4V Cobras and I would not suggest anything lower than 3.73's. Of...

Hello from a Newbie and his Quest To 300/300!

Should be fine with emissions, all they look for is codes in the comp, that's really all they can look for. Unless you have a chip and they do a visual of the PCM, in that case you could literally just pull the chip out and as long as all your emissions stuff is still on the car it will more...

Hello from a Newbie and his Quest To 300/300!

Not sure why you set that goal really. The 4V motor is fun NA but if you're looking for more "Seat of the Pants", these cars are great with some 3.73:1 gears, it gets you in your power band quicker. I have had several and tunes are a pretty decent place to start as well. You're on the right...

Simply amazing body work, and when you show it, people cannot comprehend the amount of work gone into paint/body when it looks so stock, you're making Ford look good man! Very inspiring.

New guy...reviving this little guy.built it about 10 yrs ago,had to put it away after just a couple Hundred miles, sitting ever since

I would doubt that its anything in the tables if you haven't changed anything, your datasets should still be in tact. If anything, you can switch to a different dataset and just set everything to 0 in all tables and turn off idle control (should be off anyways), 0 out everything in the idle...

FP should be way high with that FMU under boost, if your'e dropping to 30psi you've got issues somewhere. I have the Anderson PMS installed on a new 347 Supercharged build. Still breaking in it but definitely need to address the fuel pressure issue under boost. Pop open the FMU and see if the...

Digital Tuning Anderson PMS startup fuel / AFR

Put about 80 miles on the blown stroker so far and actually with everything zero'd out in the Anderson PMS I'm very happy with the AFR so far except for cold start-up. It is about 15.5:1 or so, maybe a bit more at times during the warm-up cycle. It smells rich and fires right up during this...
