    Satchel rear coilover

Rusty, It is interesting as I do seem to be souding like a major supporter of the HDR stuff. What really got me interested is the rear truly being a SUPERB design...and having spent a lot of time looking at all of their products and talking with them, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt...

    Satchel rear coilover

Uh...yeah...used parts...ebay... ...whatever! Look, I have no problem with someone defending their purchase. It is normal human nature to want to believe you have done the right thing. God knows I have done MANY stupid things in my life, and CERTAINLY with car purchases. I...

    Satchel rear coilover

ADDING weight? I sincerely doubt it. This alloy steel is MUCH lighter than the mild steel that all of the other folks are using, and there should be a lot of the stock weight that ISN'T there. The rigidity will be markedly improved. And ground clearance? This is between the wheels, so it...

    65 mustang 5 speed tremec?

My '66 'vert will have a TKO 600 in it as well. My engine is a bit lower (we're playing w/ various mounting positions in conjunction w/ the MII front) so that will help the angle.

Sound Deadener help. how much and which one??

My GTO has a bunch of B-Quiet Ultimate in it. The car started out much quiter than the late model Mustangs, and it is DEATHLY quiet now (except for those funny turbo whines every now and again). That is a good product. It has been in the car for 2.5 yrs with no problems at all.

    I'M NEW & WANT A STANG

Threads like this are interesting...people are shooting for numbers for hp, and my guess is you've really never driven such a car on the road. My GTO w/ >500 rwhp and a superb suspension / brake / etc setup can be very scary, although perfect for rush hour traffic due to stock cam. The car can...

    Satchel rear coilover

Any further follow-up on this? This might be the push to get me working on my '65 2+2. A couple of years ago Louie was trying to work out a Satchell link rear end, but gave up as he couldn't get the packaging right. The construction of this is FAR superior to anything else I've seen...

    Considering rear end change

The true trac looks to be a good compromise. I really don't think most folks want a Locker on the street (although there have been MANY discussions about that on various high performance auto boards). I have an 800hp blown 408 going in a 66 vert (link in sig below) and will use a True Trac...

    Iskwezm's turbo kit

My 2005 GTO now sports twin turbos by using an Aussie kit that has the stock manifolds reversed (they are high flowing cast iron), turbos mounted on an extension/adaptor up front. Great setup as it is INSTANT boost. I haven't messed w/ either Mustang for a good while...still LOVE turbos (and...

    Sheet metal surgery

If you are looking to increase the room underneath for more tire (by moving the spring inward) see the link in my sig to the '66.

    Iskwezm's turbo kit

I was up at the shop yesterday...looking at the stupid big blower for the 'vert that is going to require cutting into the inside fender on the driver's side...wishing for turbo instead! sigh...too many bad decisions. Anyone interested in a Procharger D2 blower + mounts/pulleys for a 351W...

Nice...keep it coming. I still have the 65 that needs an operational (boosted) engine...

T&L or TandL engines experience? - crate engines w/warranty?

Wow...this sounds too much like my experience w/ McAllister Brothers (which is really primarily one guy; his brothers are a small, part-time help). Chris was great up front, getting my $ for the blown 408...and then excuse after excuse after excuse. I cancelled the order, and then he said he'd...

    Console project.. with pics!

Great work, guys! I've got to do the same thing for the 'vert. Hopefully life is settling down and I can start working on it again. Too many things have been going on, and getting everything buttoned up on my 'daily driver' goat has been slooow. My real DD at this point is a '99 minivan w/...

    G-Machine 66 Stang, "THE CAR"

Nice work! I had some discussions w/ Louie back in 2005, but had not had time (or $$) to pursue this direction. Really good to see the bar being raised for old Mustangs...can't let the Camaros have all the fun. The MII front end is a nice approach for a cruiser (which is what my 'vert is all...

    64-66 turbo mustang headers

Wow...great work! I haven't been around this site in weeks, and look what you've done. Makes me want to put together more stupid-fast classic Mustangs. Anybody interested in a never installed KB2.2 blowzilla/flowzilla + 12psi pulley + Fox-Lake ported GT40 lower (to mate w/ the blower)? Just...

New Comp Cams Thumpr cams; No Sir. I don't like it.

Interesting on the beehives. In the LSx world, the Comp Cams 918 beehives are very well thought off. The initial run was a bit problematic and some broke, but that has reportedly been worked out.

    New a repair quote on an '86 5.0 V8

No twisting, buddy! I ordered my '87 GT in Dec '86, before the new cars had even been released. They looked GREAT on paper, but no one had seen them. It was a fun car... ...just not a classic!

OMG...we aren't calling Fox body cars classics now, are we?
