    2.3 Custom Headers....Horsepower???

The angle of the turbo is still horizontal, just 2" lower. You can clock the compresson housing so the outlet points anywhere you want.

AIResearch .63 a/r turbo any good?

"i simply asked a question needed an answer tried to be a little funny. So try not to be so ignorant next time.THANKS" And I simply answered, I wasn't copping an attitude. Take it easy.

AIResearch .63 a/r turbo any good?

"Have some beef" ?? They're already stout as hell. Without a better intercooler, you won't see any power improvement between 19-24 psi. Just because the turbo can push that hard, doesn't mean your engine will run stronger. Look into reading compressor maps.. That will help you understand airflow...

    porsche 944 likeness/engine

Same thing nomuffler, the 4s are simply one bank of the 928 engines. They were not badged as VW in Europe but they did roll out of the Audi plant. They are VERY capable cars, I had my 951 over 168mph and it was rock solid and still pulling. The 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the 944 turbo and 928...

    2.5 Plus a Turbo??

Turboford.org has more detailed info, but results show that breathing and efficiency mods such as porting, cam, intercooler, exhaust are more cost effective than .2L of displacement. Example, TF member Greg O'brien is building a drag car and is expecting to make well over 400 horsepower and is...

Sure, but you have an LX 'stang. Best Mods for suspension and handling are going to be Springs and shocks and grab the swaybar off a thunderbird. Subframe connectors are another help.

    2.3 turbochargers?

Ditto the engine swap, either a Turbocoupe or a Merkur (the wiring harness is easier) will work wonders. As long as a 2.3 resides in the engine bay, insurance companies don't care if there's an iron lung of a turbo hanging off the side. Turbo "kits" are for the import pansy-asses, junkyards hold...

    porsche 944 likeness/engine

Trust me... You don't wanna dick around with the Stuttgart water cooled engines, much less fabricate engine mounts, bellhousing adapter, input shaft/flywheel issues etc. My last car was a Porsche 944 Turbo (951 if you're a Porsche nerd like me) and it was also the reason I switched to Turbo...

Will the T5 from a 5.o work in the 2.3 turbo?

"uhmm he's partially correct..." Uhmm no, he's really not. Unless you're short shifting, the *SLIGHTLY* wider ratios in the 5.0 T5 are only going to help. I've driven every kind of T5 made in cars with rearends varying from 3.08, 3.27 and 3.73. You won't bog a 2.3T unless you put 2.73's and a...

Will the T5 from a 5.o work in the 2.3 turbo?

"...if you put in the 5.0 tranny...the turbo will never spool" Sweet merciful crap, are you that stupid? Have you ever even driven a turbo car? Please, remove your head from your sphincter before you spread any more misinformation.

Will the T5 from a 5.o work in the 2.3 turbo?

Unless you're still stock, you'll probably LIKE the taller gears. With any increase in power over stock, 1st is almost useless. (I have 3.73's) I say go for it!

    Turbo Fuel Mileage

Not really Mike, the brake specific fuel consumption and volumetric efficiency are what determine fuel economy. BSFC is the fuel required to make X amount of horsepower with a given engine and then the VE tells you where in the RPM range that you will need to spin to make the most out of it...

    svo hood

Look, ****-gobbler, you asked a question to which several people posted useful and constructive answers. If you can't deal with reality, STFU. You're better off grafting a NACA duct instead of chopping rare and valued SVO parts. Merry Christmas. :)

    I had a fender-bender, now I have some money

Missed your website link, lo siento. I spend most of my time over at Turboford and I drive an 86 SVO so I'm biased, but you already have the nitrous, just rebuild for a turbo again and clamp your fuel pressure reference line on tight this time! :) A 75 shot will spool a T3 damn quick! Tell...

    I had a fender-bender, now I have some money

Take your money and find a Merkur or a Turbocoupe parts car and trade engines. Sell off the parts on your NA 2.3 and then throw subframe connectors, struts and springs on your car. Turbos are the coolest, you'll be hooked once you get one. edit: I know you have forged units on there but the...

    Poor gas milage

Ok, you guys need to go get yourselves a voltmeter and learn how to run diagnostic codes on your 2.3's. I just had this issue where my SVO was gobbling fuel and driving like a turd. Probe the TPS and bingo, it's only at .83 volts. I set it to .97 and the problem is solved, no more pinging and I...

88 merkur xr4ti) skips at high end

You mean missing? I don't know what a 'skip' is. 99% of the time, a high RPM miss or a miss under boost is the ignition system. Try checking your plugs and wires.
