    Yes, that is, as long as the Mach owner knows how to drive. I was at the track a week ago and while I was busting out 13.8's, the Mach driver couldn't do better than 14.1. But, given equal drivers, I would've gotten smoked!

    Yeah, it must have had some problems because unless your 97 had every bolt-on you'd have a hard time hanging with a newer 4V. I'm not saying that it can't be done, just difficult. Gears may have been different. That really changes your SOTP feel.

    differences in 98,99 and 2001 GTs...

    I'd rather dirve a late 5.0 (94-95) than an early 4.6 (96-98). Same HP but more TQ with the old pushrod engine. Much easier to reach 300 rwhp with the 5.0 with cheaper mods. Heads/cams/intakes,etc. are REALLY expensive for the 4.6. They're (comparitively) dirt @$$ cheap for the 5.0.

    This is like asking "what's my firstborn child going to look like?" Just know this: It'll be better. Better than Fox's, SN-95's, F-bodies, but I doubt it will come anywhere close to holding the road like a Z06 or even a BMW M3.
