I haven't read any recent articles. I was just thinking about the economics of a price jump. So, is ford trying to compete at the corvette level? maybe if i read the articles it would answer that;) all i know is... 40K is alot of money, so..i won't be buying one. sad face:(

ford would lose cutomers if the price went alot higher than usual. not everyone can afford a 40k dollar car. part of what makes the mustang so attractive is the price:)

this is probably a stupid question.... since ford owns mercury, does ford have "the say" in how they want the cougar to look? or, does mercury do it's own thing?

i think it's just reservations that you place before they come out. i thought no one will get it until the fall. but, what do i know? :shrug:

If all else fails, you can try that Goo Gone stuff. It’s cleaned everything I’ve used it on (and I’ve needed to use it a lot :nonono:). I haven’t used it on a car, but it’s supposed to be safe on the exterior, so you’ll have to look at the instructions if you do use it. I hope something...

i agree it can't be too much more than a normal new mustang. ford has goals for the price ranges for the different models. if the v6 is all of a sudden the normal price of the GT lots of business will be lost. not everyone can spend 25,000 on a new car.

i agree with that:) it would make sence to have a variety of exterior colors to personalize it. from reading ford's site and other posts, it's what they seem to be focusing on for the new car.
