I would do a 289/302 based block. The 351 is wider and the engine compartment of 67 up Mustangs is wider. Doing a T5 swap is very easy. If part of that conversion is done, then even easier. What kind of vehicle did the 8.8 axle come out of? The axle will require mods in order to install...
