    accufab throttle body question

Just tried it. :( I didn't notice anything different. Still had that sticky feeling at initial tip in. May be a I will pull the TB this weekend clean it up and put a oil seperater in. If you want to try you will need a 3/32 allen wrench and a 3/8 open end.

    accufab throttle body question

Hmmm.... I have been noticing the same thing lately and kinda thought it was me :) It is located near the throttle cable connection point on the back side of the TB. I will be giving this a shot later today :)

    load exhaust with turndowns

I ran packs with dumps for about 6mths. Just changed back to the full set-up. The car sounds so much better now. The pop is back and the sound "carries" farther according to friends. Just run the axle over tubes and trim the back to use dumps.

    Traction control won't turn on.

U = Learn how to drive I drive with TCS off all the time in the rain and today it's snowing and have NEVER spun out. But anyways. It sounds like the the TCS is overriden in the PCM. Does the car have a tune? Does the car have a chip? Are you the 1st owner? If you bought it used the...

    Fog light bulbs

Long story short. I order 9145 Silverstars (suppose to fit) They don't and won't. 899 is the number in the car. They don't make a 899 Silverstar, but they make a 893. From everything I can see the 899 and the 893 are interchangable just have a different wattage. Can anyone...

    I'm a lame mechanic

They are extremly tight because they do have thread locker.:notnice: I used a 1/2" rachet with a 2ft pipe on the end to break it free and that still took quite a bit of force. Once it was free I was able to use an air rachet to remove them. They stayed pretty bound up till they...

    I'm a lame mechanic

On a side note it took me over 45mins to reinstall the spring that I removed on accident. The spring goes into a coil bind situation and is extrem;ly difficult toreset. You can remove the ebrake cable with out removing the spring. I only removed my cailpers because I painted them. If it...

Need to adjust Idle on FRPP 70mm T/B!!! (ASAP)

You might want to tell him how to use that  You can do the same thing with carb cleaner or brake clean. When the motor is cold and running, spray a small amount of either around any connection and listen for a change in idle. If it changes you have a leak. If it doesn't move on...

Need to adjust Idle on FRPP 70mm T/B!!! (ASAP)

The throttle blade set screw is not the problem. By unplugging the IAC from the harness you are elminating the ECU control for idle and relying soley on the TB blade position. The car would do exaclty what yours did when you removed the IAC from the harness, idle down to the point of...

    I'm a lame mechanic

12mm open end. to get the caliper off. You need to pull the brake cage to get teh rotor off. That's a 15mm with a 3" extension and a lot of leverage. The rotor probably froze on, a couple of good whacks near the outer edge will free it up.

    I'm a lame mechanic

I pulled that bolt off onone side this weekend, before I realized what it did.:(:bang: It took about 45mins and ***** luck to get it back together.:D it can be done, it has to be off the car, it takes a screw driver and a good pair of needle nose pliers. But sounds like you need a...

    Need Help FAST Brake Issues!!!

Drove the car to day. Under normal braking the pedal was travling really far. Farther then I woud like and had very little feel. I had ordered a couple of cans of ATE super blue earlier and planned on swapping when it came in. Lucky me it came in tonight. I had my GF help me bleed the...

Need to adjust Idle on FRPP 70mm T/B!!! (ASAP)

Never mind the TB set screw. That is not going to solve the problem you are having if the car puttered down. As far as reseting the PCM, just disconnecting the battery will do it. I have never heard of pulling the PCM cable.

Good Ole McMaster. I order stuff from there all the time for work.

Need to adjust Idle on FRPP 70mm T/B!!! (ASAP)

You don't need clamps on the plenum. I wouldn't go playing with the TB set screw until you try and just unplug the IAC plug while the car is running. It should drop rpms to the point of stalling. If it does then the TB is set correctly. If it doesn't(rpms stay up) then that is probably the...

Need to adjust Idle on FRPP 70mm T/B!!! (ASAP)

You can buy a new on eif you want, but you coul dbe wasting your money. Hook the TPS to your harness, but don't install it on the TB. Turn the key on and check the voltage. If you can get .99 that way you can enlarge the holes on the TPS to help it get to .99, and check to make sure the TB...
