    I was waiting until I saw the clip but that WB car was at a football game in Edmonton on Sept 10 and was driven around the stadium with a 500 and a Freestar! I darm near blew a gasket and was insane because a football just missed it! There is one GT in Western Canada anyway :D

    Any stock failures?

    I have already experianced tranny failure (twice) but has anybody had a completley stock engine let go? I know that if you boost the thing it fails sometimes but if a car makes 50 to 150 HP over stock, let alone 300; it needs to be built. I don't think I have ever (30 yrs) heard of stock...

    One other thought. These cars do not make their torque down low and I have 4:30 gears. It is a shame to work so hard for a nice car and not enjoy it. I really get a kick out of peoples reactions when they can't get traction in their Explorer and I am gone.>

    The alignment might be the problem. Try downloading the specs for a road course /street car and find someone to try a little harder. Mine was fussy about road ruts and after some tuning it was a much better day to day thing.

    Ford Racing Performance Parts sell all the snake engines in the 2004 catalouge. If the sticker is important then swap the cam cover. But you might want to take the insurance money and get some good rods and pistons,just incase the red mist comes upon you and you feel like say 600+ HP. :D

    Get braided lower flex lines for your frt. Unreal differance in pedal feel and piece of mind because the was a recall for early cars where the hose blew out of the fitting. Plus it is pretty cheap.

    Winter driving ?

    I drive my snake in Northern Alberta Canada. I do because I enjoy the challange and the way a balanced car feels. The simple fact is get snow tires! It is not impossible to drive a performance car in the white stuff. Practice and smoothness.

    Just a thought but if you drive like most Svt owners your upper strut mounts are probalbly worn. They are just a cheap rubber and break down with age and the ozone from under hood. Fairly cheap fix or even consider C/Cplates.
