    275/40 17 Problems...Help!??

Might as well. I have them already. You're right about that. If it works for most, than hopefully it will work for me.

    275/40 17 Problems...Help!??

I am still debating. Somebody just placed heavy doubt in my mind at Firestone. Don't know what to do. Think I might mount one just to see.

    275/40 17 Problems...Help!??

That is what Firestone said. But how come I see lots of Mustang guys with stock 17x8's and 275/40's? I know two personally with this combo, but neither listens to reason, and their words are always taken with a grain of salt...one of them had 285/40's DR's put on a 8'' wheel! They say 275's will...

    275/40 17 Problems...Help!??

I got some 275/40 17's for my GT. I have the wheels used on '03-'04 GT Prem. and 99-01 Cobra's. They are 17x8. I have seen guys with 17x8 put 275/40's on. My 275's won't fit. I have to take them to a tire shop to use another machine. Firestone said they could make the 275's fit, but the sides...

    02 stock intake

The crossover is where the coolant flows thru in the front of the intake, and has the thermostat in it. The 96-early 01's had a plastic crossover that is prone to cracking and leaking. When it leaks it shorts out coils, and can do some damage. The fix is the aluminum piece for coolant to flow...

    02 stock intake

Since it has the aluminum crossover, it is worth something to the '99-early '01 guys. I sold my extra '03 intake (long story) for $100. I suspect you could get at least $50 for it.

    Battery questions

Yeah. Green=good, Red=bad. Get it replaced. It should be a warranty thing as long as it has not been more than three years since you bought the car. After three years you're on your own. It is time to replace it anyway if it is an '01.

    Hankook Ventus Tires

Anybody used these tires? Either the K104's or HRII H405's? Just wondering. Looking at getting some because I can work out a good deal on them.

    maf ????'s

This is one of those things where half take it out, and half leave it in. No problems tuning mine w/o the screen. I didn't notice any smoothness, or lack of, when I took mine out.

    New to the 4.6

It was like being beat with a stick. It had the huge brakes on it, and it stopped like a race car. The ride was rock hard and punishing. I think a good set of struts/shocks, springs, and a bumpsteer kit make these cars handle pretty well. And not to rough. Better tires don't hurt either. The...

    New to the 4.6

Go look at everything Steeda has if you want a car to handle. I drove a car that had all their stuff-springs, tubular K, etc. Damn thing handled turns flat and gripped the whole way through.

01 Cobra EFI to 95 Mark VIII heads

No. You have the dual port intake runners with IMRC's. The 99-up Cobras have one big oval shaped runner for both valves, and no IMRC's. The IMRC can be deleted, but the ports still wouldn't match. You could use a '96-'98 Cobra intake. You would have to swap heads from the '01 to use the '01...

    Torque Specs for TB/Plenum install

An honest dealership.......? You gotta be kidding. We put in 10w30 bulk oil in every car, regardless of the "5w20 only" writing. Ford and the dealer are two different things. Dealers aren't run by the manufacturer. We are run by a suit and tie guy bent on saving money(every dealership in the...

My cold air kit said to remove it, and it had a cork gasket to put there. I thought that was the first thing everyone did when they took the air silencer off. I ditched my screen a long time ago. I figure it would help smooth the flow out because there would be less restriction. I don't know of...

    Need Help Quick!!

Too much slack in cable? Make a spacer for it. There was a thread somewhere in here about it. Or the cable could have busted the little cap off the pedal end and came out of the hole?..That is all I can think of right now.

    Torque Specs for TB/Plenum install

I think it is something like 65 inch-lbs for both. Really, just make them tight but not to too tight. About as tight as you can get it with a little 1/4 inch rachet. Tighten til you feel a sharp rise in torque, then turn an additional 90 degrees. That is one way. I take the damn things off all...

    mach 1 gauge cluster facia

No it left nothing. I used some 3M Adhesive remover/cleaner in the red and white can and rubbed it off. You could also paint it. That is a good way to do it. I recently painted the console and bezel for a friend with the "hammered" aluminum paint. It looks awesome. Gives it a natural aluminum look.

    mach 1 gauge cluster facia

It is only a cover. You can get one from Ford or a bunch of aftermarket places. It is the instrutment bezel. I took one from a '99 35th aniv. GT, which is silver, and rubbed off the lettering on it. If you want the Mach1/Bullitt gauge faces, they are not available yet from anyone. I have been...
