    Put Bosch Platinum plugs in it the other day. Even with new plugs and ACT sensor, still get a metallic rattling noise when accelerating some times. Happens randomly, so if it starts at the beginning of the drive, it will happen until I stop. But if its quiet at the beginning, it usually never...

    Pinging problem...any suggestions?

    Well, changed the ACT sensor out on it today. Very quick and easy to do. Going to work on the spark plugs over the weekend. Temperature dropped here to the low 40s so even if the ACT sensor didnt fix the problem, I wont know until it gets warmer.

    i did some searching and found this neat tool http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to compare stock to aftermarket sizes. shows if i go with these tires, and the speedo shows 60mph, actual speed will be 58.8. thanks to everyone for all the help.

    Hey thanks for the quick replies. So with the stock GT that has a tire size of 245/45/17, comparing this to the 225/45/17, I am guessing that the wheel diameter is the same but the width of the tire is wider on the 245 compared to the 225? Thanks.
