    I found some 7/16-20 bolts, which is what arp listed, they are 1/4" too long, going to try to grind the extra off. well see tommorrow

    do any of you guys happen to know what size the ring gear bolts are for the 8.8" rear end? I'm gonna open up the rear end tomorrow, and it is missing two ring gear bolts. hopefully someone sees this fast! thanks, chris

    you also have to get different headlight housings. try www.mrbodykit.com ,they have some different ones, kinda pricey, but i'd do it if I had the extra cash. and there have been some discussions in the past on this, I'd do a search. good luck, post pics if you do it. currently my driving lights...

    245/45/17 on a 9inch rim?

    The t1's are still a good choice, unles you can cough up some GSD3's. I have had no problems on wet pavement, with mine. they spin just as easy on dry cold pavement as they do wet. the yoko's were my other choice on a budget.

    those will look pretty narrow on a 9" rim, and you won't have any rim protection. my t1's work pretty good in light snow. a 265 is what is recommended atleast on a 18x9" wheel.

    new pics

    any thoughts on the ghost flames? a local vinyl shop that does good work, and clearcoats over it, will do it for 500-550. I told them I wanted to have a cobra emblem on the hood where the hump is blended into the flames. sound good? anybody have any pics of some cool ghost flames?

    thanks, I have always thought if I owned a car lot, I would put aftermarket wheels on everything. makes the vehicle look alot better. I wish I had some pics of when I bought it stock. It has gone through some major changes. :nice:

    anyone famaliar with saleen products??

    had to call them, almost had the wrong bushings sent to me. and don't waste your money on the saleen end links, or steeda for that matter. I got mine at pep boys, hd endlink repair kit, list 12 bucks each, but I got mine for 16 total, friends rock!

    Stats/numbers question

    mine will atleast keep up with a new gto which has more power, a better tranny, and less weight. unless it's blown, or has nos, I wouldn't worry too much, unless you just roast through first, than maybe a little catch up.

    every 5 speed I have owned didn't like going into reverse. nothing major though. just get it checked over by a mechanic you trust. a friend with mustang knowledge, and tools is a definate plus.

    sounds about right. the only tool he didn't have was a press, to get the ring gear off and on. it was his first time. they did whine a little, or I guess do. I'm betting on the crush collar. I guess I could pull the cover, and do an inspection, if nothing else change the fluid. thanks all!!

    I have a front sway bar for a 96-98 cobra. I was told that it was for the 351 version that they made. I looked at their website, and it looks like they only have one front swaybar. I need to order different bushings for it, because it is thicker than stock. I tried emailing saleen, no response...

    lowering

    The 1 inch or more, is a deceant decision to make. the prokit should drop it 1.5" sportline 2"+ in some cases. H&R anywhere from an inch to 1.75 front, 1.6 rear. not too sure about their other springs. to stay around an inch, maybe steeda.

    try some of the new mickey thompson drag radials. I have never driven on them, but they feel like an eraser in density, probably wouldn't last too long on the streets though. I'm not sure what or if they make a perfect size for 17x8's, but they do for 17x9's. might want to read up on axle...
