What really burns me is people with '04's are having this problem and ford wont fix them. I am calling ford corprate on monday morning and demanding a fix. I didnt pay what I paid for my GT to have it drive like crap.

Check your owners manual for a small tag with a 4 letter and number reorder code. That code is what the dealer needs to order you a new programmed key, I had to get it done on my '00 V6.

I think Mineral Grey was only run for the '01 and '02 model year, in 03 they dropped it for DSG I believe.

I'd say the first set is way more realistic.

Myself personally..8yr Electronics Tech in the Navy, my speciality is PCB Repair, and Fabrication. But I do have to agree, if you cant tell a diode from a resistor, this type of project isnt something you should probally try.

Designing a Proto PCB isnt all that hard really, especially since I have been through advanced soldering and fabrication school :) Honestly once I get done with my move I will buy one and do my best to reverse engineer and build a copy. Then post how to do it.

Ok yup I was wrong, It was optional up to the '00 Model Year, In '01 '02 and '03 it was standard on the GT Optional on the V6. However for the 2004 Model Year it was optional on both the Premium and Deluxe GT Coupes and Verts.

The 2 model years I have bought, a 00 and a '04 they were optional. I had to pay an extra 730 on my '04 for traction control. It was also an option on the '00 quite possible they offered it standard for a few years.

Im pretty sure it was standard in the Cobra's and I know its standard in the '03-'04 Mach 1.

Traction Control has been and still is Optional up to the '04 model year. Most likely if you have the ABS module you have traction control. Also look for the switch in the interior.
