    the gt40p head is still pretty reasonabley priced and you can still send them 2 thumper and end up with a set of heads that will flow damn close in comparison to a set of higher quality heads after he reworks them.

    yes put the sensors back in. u can get weld in bungs to reinstall the o2 sensor. without the sensors the car runs in "limp mode" (figure of speach) computer relies on o2 sensor 4 feedback to adjust fuel curve and other features.

    lots of people will do as thumper suggested in order to make the cam more streetable with better manners by makeing it more responsive in lower RPM range compared as to straight up. theres absolutely nothing wrong doing it, but was pointing out you trade off upper HP for TQ is all.

    what i just recommended was in the same line as yount, measureing p2v clearance with existing 1.6 rocker and subtracting additional lift gained from going to 1.7 from measurement so you should lay off the crack pipe dude and re-read it yourself!

    you can measure with existing 1.6 rockers subtracting .032 to the equation afterwards for the 1.7, provideing each rocker is within specs. and decide if you have enough clearance and decide from there wether you can or cant.

    set them no less then 1/2 turn past 0 lash and stay around 3/4 max, going 1 cyl. at a time turning by hand should get you in the ballpark.

    no prob. always glad 2 play with the profile tester software. can sit there for hours at a time.........lol very accurate so far after runs on a real dyno 2 compare 2. helps that my brother owns the dyno i test on!
