I passed my inspection. Haven't had the smog pump on since I've had the car. they didn't look for it, just made sure the cats were there.

Hey guys, long story short... 5.0 motor from 98 explorer going into my 89GT. Does anyone know how much more power I will have? and what to expect? is this done a lot? any info on this kind of swap would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance everyone!

yesh, i had the same problem w/ mine a few weeks ago. do a complete tune up, pcv, oil, fuel, blah blah, and also check your timing.

timing was at 8*, bumped it to 16*, my plug wires were burnt from the headers, some exhaust leaks, PCV line/valve.. pretty much stupid little things. all better!

I'll try not to bore you with this story, so I will shorten it... Okay, last week I was driving, and my clutch cable snapped.. I got it pushed into a nearby parking lot. Later that day I had to drive my car back w/out using the clutch. (Bad). I installed the cable, works fine. Now, on my way...

I broke mine a few days ago too. I thought the new one was too short, but it wasn't. Just needed something to pry the lower connector thingy forward.

This winter I'm going to be buying parts for the stang, but I'm not sure what heads to get. I don't really care about the price, as long as they give the best results. What do you all think? I was thinking maybe AFR? :shrug:

He has 373's, full flowmaster 2 chamber exhaust, mac intake, and some other minor mods. i drove it and it felt like a 13 second car.. although it's a bit harder to shift, not sure why, probably because i have a different shifter.. :shrug: .. i also beat a new chrysler crossfire a while...

Yeah, a factory freak, I was told that my car was one, because a buddy of mine has a mildly modded 88LX w/ gears, and we went for a little ride, i went ahead and floored it, so did he, he said he couldn't keep up. My car is mostly stock, w/ just an H-pipe, headers, AC delete, and Smog Pump...
