    open track

I run my supercharged 97 Cobra at open track events at Thunderhill about once a month. Get a little faster each time. Last out on July 16 with "Northern California Racing Club" (http://ncracing.org) Did their time trial and placed 4th overall with a 2:12 for the full course with cyclone. I...

    97'Cobra weak points

There's a cherry one for sale at the NorCal Shelby site: http://www.norcal-saac.org/ads/carpart.htm My worst problem (starting at 4000 miles) with my 97 Cobra has been the rear end. I've replaced everything from axles through pinon at least twice. Also: one clutch, one swaybar, IMRC...

    '03 Radiator Swap

I had been planning to get a Fluidyne before the weather warms up....for my '97 Vorteched Cobra. But I picked up the latest Ford Racing catalog and see they are selling the '03 Cobra radiators for $325. I'm thinking to use that instead. Does anyone know if it's a good radiator? Much better...

    m roadster vs. 98 cobra

The guy is full of BS. There is no way unless this guy has unlimited $$. That conversion, even if it would fit (which I doubt) would cost more than the roadster cost. The M5 is a very expensive 400HP BMW V8. Sounds like he knows nothing about cars and is just making stuff up. Ask to see it...I...

    m roadster vs. 98 cobra

I think the old M-roadsters ran about 14.2; the new ones about 13.6 I looked it up. They went to the bigger engine in 2001. So if it's a 1999 or 2000, you are fine.

    m roadster vs. 98 cobra

It depends... Is the M-roadster a new one, or the older one? The 2001 (I think) and before, had 240 horse. The new ones are about 330 and you will be in trouble unless yours is well above stock. I've driven the old one and it was a tad slower than my 97 Cobra when it was stock.

    IRS to Solid Axle swap

Either of you guys interested in unloading the IRS? I'm in NorCal with a '97 Cobra. I'm interested in doing the reverse swap....if it's feasible. Will the 2001 IRS bolt in on my '97? For that matter, if you want an 8.8, I could provide mine: Superior axles, 3.55 FMS gears, Tru-Trak diff. Steeda...
