How long (time wise) before synthetic oil breaks down?

HISSIH50 is right, there are a lot of factors that dictate lubricant life...Inlet filtration, lubricant filtration, operating temp. blow by, excessive fuel etc. The biggest killer of hydrocarbon "oils" is temp. I know some lubricant engineers from Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, CPI...

    Brake help, PLEASE!!!!!

SVO discs With GT calipers. Keep in mind, it worked before. It's hard to believe but it could have a coincidense that the original booster went bad and I got a bad replacement. I'm still trying to find out if the vacuum level should go to zero when the brake is depressed and not...

    Help me PLEASE!!!!!!!

The thing is, that they worked fine until the rear brake line was pierced. I wish I would have taken it for a ride before I changed the front calipers. The rears are 95 Cobra. I have had a stock, 95 Cobra and SVO M/C on it. There is no prop valve, only an adjustable one on the rear which is wide...

    BHP vs. HP

Brake HP, as far as I know, is used in reference to electric motors. Electric motors have a name plate amprage i.e. 100 amps and also a service factor i.e. 1.15.- 2.0. Take the service factor times the rated amprage and that gives you the maximum current draw. So in effect a 100 hp motor is...

    Help me PLEASE!!!!!!!

I need some help here guys! I had a problem last fall, I had a chunck of steel on the road hit my RR brake line. I replaced the line and decided to go from SVO calipers to GT ones. When I took it for a ride the brake pedal was hard as a rock and required high pedal effort. I was told that I...

    93LX Convertible 2.3L

I had mine replaced for about $500.00. If I were to do it all over I would buy the top and do it myself. I would also do a cloth one, they don't show the wear (from being folded down) and also doesn't show the wrinkles. Robins is one of the best and I believe you can buy one for around $200.00

    Turbo get togethers

Hey guys! Is there anything going on in the midwest for turbo owners? I know it's getting late in the year. I'm a little tired of going to Mustang events and be surrounded by all new iron. I would rather meet with guys that actually did more than wash their cars. The last one I went to was a...

    300whp?

Evidently Murgatroy has never driven a healthy 2.3 turbo stang , if he had, he wouldn't make such inaccurate statements. 5.0s are a dime a dozen. If you want something that handles great, performs great, and still gets good mileage, go with a 2.3T As far as sex appeal, the 2.3 has it hands...
