Jokes The New Camaro: Lets Hear Your Thoughts

^ Snipped a bit, but a very educated post. As an owner of older GTs and 2 Cobras, the new V6 honestly interests me. I think its also got a lot of potential given it's price range that is low to mid 20k while the GT is considerably more expensive. I don't think many have done it yet, but I'm sure...

    Potential 2015 Buyer (probably V6)

Haha no I still have this lease for another 12 months! I'm merely collecting data at this time and getting back into these forums after several years away. You will know when I pick up a 2015 (or maybe 2016 at this point). It's still between the V6 and the GT. I don't like what I see out of the...

Mustang 2015 Fastback V6 Or Fastback Ecoboost

It depends on a few things. 1st, is this going to be JUST your daily driver or a daily driver PLUS a car you'll take to the track? Do you have the money or even DESIRE to start modding the car? Answer that first and foremost. If it's just a daily driver, either will do. I am leaing towards the...

    Stripes Removed & Tinted

I love stripes, but that blue car looks better without them, for sure. Some matte black stripes would probably look great though.

I Have Had Enough With Ford!

This sounds like a pretty horrific story, and I'd utterly hate to be dropping my car off for repairs as often as you have in this thread. Good luck to you sir and I hope this works itself out somehow. That said, I wouldn't swear off Fords just because of this horrific instance. Look at all your...

    2006 Mustang Gt Exhuast Help

I live in New Jersey, and have had many a catted X and H-pipe mustangs. If you want loud....seriously loud, while keeping the cats, check out SLP Exhausts. Performance Parts for Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, and More from SLP

I Must Be Too Old Because Its Too Loud

I personally never bought Magnaflow or Borla. Not only were they typically more expensive but I just felt they were too bubble/poppy for what a mustang should sound like. I always enjoyed the sound of MAC, Flowmaster and my favorite has been SLP. But SLP is the opposite of what you're looking...

    What Should I Buy?

Yeah I've been debating the same thing after my BMW lease is up. The new GTs are just too pricey at the moment for me, so I'm considering a performance pack V6 or a 2010+ GT myself. To me, the new body/model is just ridiculously nicer, that said, you can get a more solid performance car if you...

I Must Be Too Old Because Its Too Loud

That sounds fine tbh. Its not ''too loud'' unless it's an SLP exhaust :) Flowmaster makes a more classic and 'humble' rumble if that's what you're looking for. I'm sure others can chime in, or you can hit up the sound effects website for Mustang Exhausts. I forget the address atm.

    2015 Dyno Information

Yeah i've searched up and down about what transmissions they use and haven't found anything myself either. Thank you though.

    Poll: Who Has Wheel Hop?

I'm sure the auto has something to do with it. The automatics preloading the car at the line maybe is helping to alleviate the wheel hop you otherwise see vs. in the Cobras (manuals) dumping the clutch and hopping. I only had one car with wheel hop issues (the 04 cobra) with street tires and...

    2015 Dyno Information

Do you happen to know what model trans is in the V6/Eco boost and which is in the GT then? (ie: the old tremecs being T56, T3650, etc etc)

    2015 Dyno Information

A little off topic, but staying on topic of transmissions: What is the manual transmisison (or transmissionS i guess,) used in the new mustangs? The V6, the Ecoboost and the GT? Getrag or something? I'm wondering if all of the 6 speed manuals are the same trans or different ones.

    '15 Power Goals

I honestly think that for the street, it should be under 600hp. I've had two Cobras now at 550hp and you can seriously give your tires a beating with that power. Anything more really should be saved for the track, imo. But I daily drove mine. I guess there is nothing wrong with a 650hp sunday...

    Help On Purchase!

Hahah sorry sir. Doesn't matter how fast it goes, doesn't matter how much horsepower it has, automatic mustangs, camaros, vettes, etc will always take flak. Sure its a personal preference but if two of the same cars run 11.5, one's an auto and the other is manual, the manual time is always more...

    Help On Purchase!

Eww. Automatic... :puke: I made the mistake of having an automatic in my first mustang, and it's something i'll never do again. As for performance pack, depends on what you want to do with the car. If you're going to track/drag it, it might be a good investment now. If you're getting an...
