Does anyone know if a 97 mark 8 MAF will work on my 97 cobra, they are the same motors and I can get one off a mark cheaper than a cobra unit.

There are 7 wires White-red stripe Red-white stripe Grey-Red stripe Red-black stripe yellow-blue stripe grey-blue stripe solid red. The connector runs into the harness with the pos. battery cable and is beside the engine bay fuse box.

thats weird, I had an 03 cobra stainlessworks offroad x and it would not work? I think for $50 I can take a chance.

I've seen it done but you can get more power from a 351w and it is easy to swap in! plus the 5.4 is about 200lbs heavier. I think a dohc 4.6 would be a better choice if youre intent on a modular fox.

I had eddy's with the 1.90 intake valve, cobra intake, B cam and 3.73's and I wasn't happy. the car only put down 260 to the wheels tuned, you can do that with gt40 irons. Only benefit would be the 50lbs lost but not worth the money IMO. I agree if youre gonna go for it spend the extra dough on...

Thanks guys! I Did infact crack #6 plug but I replaced it, all others look good, wires look good, May change them just for the heck of it. I will try the light on the injectors and see what I come up with there. What is a cylinder balance test??

Is anyone willing to throw some suggestions out here?? I checked the cam timing, it is correct, rocker arm weren't overly tight. Could I have a bad injector??

It seem slike I am getting no fuel on #6. plug is getting fir fir sure but it is not wet at all, no sighns of that cylinder burning, after 10 miles plug still looks brand new, what could cause this? I check the injector wire, it is plugged in.

Also, could I have gotten the Rocker arms too tight? They are stock bolt down rockers?

I have changed and checked everything, plugs wires MAF TPS, etc.. The only thing I can think of is maybe I got the cam a tooth off??? Or maybe a bad lifter?? What would the symptoms be if the cam were a tooth off?

I vote for the TFS cam, seems to be the best for gt40 iron heads.

I just put in a B cam, explorer intake/70mm TB and longtubes on my 95 GTS, the car runs ok but is sorta skipping, not like a dead skip, just sorta sputters lightly like it's flooding a bit. I get 18-20mpg doing 60-65 around 2600 rpm with my 4.56's. I agree that 3.73's are a waste of money, 4.10's are on the borderline.

That thing is on top of my christmas wish list!

4.56 if you don't do much hwy driving. I don't either and I love mine. 65mph is about 2800rpm with stock 245/45/17's.
