    New to A/C Work

So, I'm not exactly clear on how much r-134a I need to purchase. It comes in the little cans (2 oz? 10oz?)...how much does that work out to in weight?

    New to A/C Work

Sweet, thanks for the advice; I kinda knew about vacuuming, but it's alot more clear now. I just ordered a proper set of gauges and a vacuum pump; hopefully can knock it all out next weekend.

    oil drain plug stuck

I was in the exact same situation. They have bolt removers at Sear's (I forget exactly what they call them) that basically cut into the stuck bolt head when you hammer them on, and then you just wrench them off. Of course, you then have to replace the plug, but all in all it's not too expensive.

    New to A/C Work

Well, I found this in the Service Manual CD: "R-134a requires use of Motorcraft YN-12b refrigerant oil or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B" But I don't feel like I'm any closer; where can I get something compatible?

    New to A/C Work

Hi Everyone! I know my 95 vert has a fairly new A/C compressor in it, but a leak in one of the hoses has let all of the 134a out. I've purchased the hose assembly, and I think I'm going to try to tackle replacing it. The questions I have: 1. I read that I should replace the accumulator as...

What is this in my 5.0 engine? (pic)

Ah, I should have mentioned; it's a 90 lx vert with AC (though not working). If it's the wo ac relay, should it be mounted somewhere?

What is this in my 5.0 engine? (pic)

So I was finally getting around to changing the leaky hoses to my egr spacer, when I noticed this thing just hanging down under my mass air sensor.....what is it? My guess is the knock sensor.

Two Heater hose ?'s: EGR and Heater core

Sweet! So the only thing that I'm still wondering, is it the left side pipe on the firewall (closer to the pass. fender) that goes to the bottom hard coolant line? Or vice-versa?

Two Heater hose ?'s: EGR and Heater core

The two coolant lines hooked up to my EGR spacer seem to be about 1/4" heater hose, but I can't find that anywhere (my rear one cracked and left a nice white residue over the entire rear of my engine)! Do I have the size mixed up, or will 1/4" fuel line suffice? Seems questionable given the...

    Fox LX to GT conversion...

Thanks for the quick replys guys; I'll probably be waiting a month or so on the paintjob (tax refund) So I was browsing Cervini's web site....djk8705, did you mean the cobra kit (I couldn't find a saleen kit on their site)? It says that it requires GT door moldings....how tough would those be...

    Fox LX to GT conversion...

So I've been searching around for a while, and I'm not really sure on this... I've got a '90 convertible LX, and I think I'd like a body kit on it before I get it painted. I like the look of cervini's kits, but they say they screw into the inner fender wells and use tape for the rest...

How to take off TB and EGR spacer?

I just went through the same thing.....I spent forever trying to WD40/rubber mallet the thing apart; finally (after a wasted day of trying to separate 'em), I picked up some hardened stud removers, hammered them on, and racheted the studs out. I guess a leaky gasket had let some fluid rust the...
