urban 96 hit it on the head its the fuel pressure regulator, the green goes to the egr nipple and the pink and white ones are for the smog pump :spot:

i thought the same thing its and optical illusion with the afr's. just use the guide plates that came with them put a little thread lock on them and torque them down to 60flbs. once you set them on the motor you will see that nothing will rub the head.
