    saleen

I'd prefer the KB for Aesthetics and power, besides if you run in to parts/warrantee/instruction problems Saleen's customer Service is among the worst I've ever seen. I cancelled by order with them for their rudeness and lack of knowledge… I also heard their SC Systems aren't all that great...

    why mod a V6?

I bought a 1999 six-cylinder because that was all I could afford at the time. I got it for $5500. I started to save money and now i'm doing the swap, supercharged that is. The suspension had about $2500 into it when I bought it, including 13" Baer Brakes. And after selling off all the mods I...

    6 to 8 conversion

Yeah i considered to swap my V-6 with a 302 but discovered that swapping with a 4.6L would be a little easier with my 1999 Mustang. Even though a 3.8L is pretty much a 5.0L minus 2 cylinders. Its a costly and timely project. So far i have the old motor out and getting a dressed, long block...

has anyone on here swapped a 4.6 in place of the 3.8 ???

Yes! In process Yeah i'm workin on it... I've got everything out and am currently looking for the parts required. I have a 281-E dressed, long block saleen motor so far. Right now i'm working on getting the cooling, exhaust and oil and lower intake manifold. Need blower, injets, wiring, hoses...

    lightning supercharger

I think you might be able to use 2003 cobra parts (it uses a simular Eaton M112), lower intake manifold, intercooler, injectors, etc... I think you will have a problem with the lightning blower where it's intake is on top, while the cobra's is on the back to allow clearance...

Help! Mustang won't will start but then dies (have cobra killer kit)

Yeah check to make sure the Mass air flow sensor (MAF) did not come loose. if it is loose at all, it will show those symptoms, exhaust always smells like a 'gas'... try it

    Roush From Six-cylinder to Saleen's 281-E

I came across a 281-E Motor taken out of a Saleen Mustang that had 15000 Miles on it. The car was lost when it swung out of a curve and broad-sided a tree up in the rolling hills of North Carolina... Last week, down here in Miami, my 1999 Six-cylinder died when I let it run out of coolant...
