    I also had this problem as I have a BBF so it's a tight fit in there. Depending on how close the shaft is to the header, you may have to ding the header to get it to clear. Your next option is to play with the angle of your steering column by using washers to space it down inside the car...

    I'm currently considering a 514 crate motor for my 87 notch. My first choice was a 408. I'm continually told a big block could hinder the performance due to weight issues. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

    You can get the top motor and cylinders for much less than $900.00 from ebay. In fact, I bough a motor and both cylinders for around $100 from one of our fellow stangnet members. My top works great now. As for 1/4 mile times stock, I can't help ya.

    I just did the same thing and my rockers are a bit noisy. I'm going to give them a chance before I re-adjust. Good job. What kind of numbers are you hoping for?

    I sure wish someone had told me this. Both times I failed to use a sealer on those bolts. I have no desire to go through this again but what the hell, it's winter time.
