If you think your getting bad gas milage now, wait till you do the 4.10's! Personally I wouldn't go that low on the gears. I have an auto too and get 22-23 on the highway. Do the Jerry mod before the gears
So I was changing my oil, and I looked at my stock mid-pipe dreaming of changing it, and I saw what looks like 6 CATS! Is that what they are? 6? Is this a '98 only set-up?
I believe it's like modular homes, they come in complete sections. You got the block and the complete heads with the cams in the heads, unlike the push rod style.
has anyone cut off two of the four cats on the stock h pipe? I can't afford a new h-pipe, but I want it a little louder. Do you think getting rid of two of the four cats will work?
I'll try to explain it the best way I can: With a puller there is no resistance such as the fan in the way, also the air speed is constant thoughout the depth on the radiator. With a pusher the air will slow down as it enters the radiator. That's the best I can explain it.
If your going to prime, you better do the proper prep work like stripping it completely down. If you don't prep right, your waisting your time. I also highly recommend PPG paints.
puller fans are best. I highly reccommend an electric fan. and mounting through the radiator is fine, but if you make your own brakets it is VERY IMPORTANT that you mount the fan dirctly on the ratiator so that there is no gap between the radiator and the fan.
What's the difference between 245/45/17 and 255/40/17 ?? I know that the 40 means the height of the tire, but doesnt the 255 change the ratio? I'm confused.
I run 91 oct. I have found that my stang runs the best on 91. It's generally a better grade of gas as well. I try to use Chevron any time I can, because it has a great cleaning agent in it.
I have it too. I also had detonation, but I since went to 89 oct. and got rid of the pinging. I still here that faint sound you guys are describing. I just figured I still had some detonation??? Can anyone explain this?
