    03 Cobra in the shop again!

    Your avatar KILLS me!!! Lemon law is specific to one recurring problem eg. 3-4 alternator replacements or just one component or system that they cannnot fix. The car has been doing real well (Fingers crossed). But beleive me- I was looking into it.

    03 Cobra Blower Questions

    All you need is cats. I have run mine with and without the cats....World of difference. Does the O/R bassani have race pipes that can be xchanged for cats? If it does just spring for cats, that should make you happy.

    Are our half shaft really that bad? Are stronger replacements available? I do not want to do a solid axle swap. I had thought about a a set of Mickey ET Streets for a later date in 26.50 X 11 for a 16" wheel.

    A lot of those posting were kids- In bimmers no less, what do you expect...I was highly impressed by a few Mach 1's I saw in Abilene TX last weekend at the Battle of the Cities. Some of them were spraying and one was turbocharged...but I aint mad at 'em, those dudes in them Mach's were movin'!

    Bassani exhaust install...

    The fit on the Bassani for my '03 was dead on. If you are installing X-pipe it shouldnt need to be welded anywhere...put mine on last week after trying a MAC Prochamber- Which fit terribly and would not stop leaking. The Bassani fits and seals as well as stock if you put it together right...

    what springs to lower cobra?

    I lowered my '03 with an Eibach pro-kit. I am very happy with the handling, I like low cars and another 1/2' or so would look wicked- But I dont think I wanna go any lower on this one...I dont think you can without adding a bumpsteer kit and Caster/Camber plates to keep the geometry correct...

    I have a DenseCharger on my '03, i'm satisfied so far. The part you are talking about is the intake hose/tube from the MAF to the Throttle Body. When i spoke with Demolet, who makes these- He explained that the replacement hose/tube doesnt yield significant gains for all applications.

    Mine does the same, i've heard of it from several others too. My '93 5.0 did the same. My understanding is that it is play in the driveshaft- Unfortunately I'm not aware of a fix :shrug:

    Well mine threw a rod at 1286mi. Looked like poor assembly though. When I saw my old motor it looked as though the rod cap just came off and let the rod go. I also heard some uncomfirmed rumors of another local guy who lost his motor very recently...dont know any more than that though. And...
