    Tuning an Edelbrock?

I had the same starting problem myself when I first got my Elelbrock yet the engine ran great otherwise. I ended putting in a size smaller primary jets and different springs and it went away...and wow what a difference. My pony really likes to get up and go now. No flat spots or sputtering...

    Valve cover breather

There appears (to me) to be an excessive amount of emmisions from my valve cover breather. What causes this?

    Carb size?

Complex? I changed the jets and springs in my 600 in less than 10 minutes yesterday. I do agree that Holley's are nice because of the availability of parts. I just never had much luck with 'em.

    pedal support

I'm working on installing the Mustang Steve cable clutch in my '67. I spent over 2 hours of my day banging on the cowl floor so I can get the clutch pedal in but I'm not having much luck. Would it be easier to take out the pedal support and get the pedals installed then reinstall the support...

distributor new stock one or aftermarket electronic?

If you get one from a 5.0 you'll need to swap the gear to match the cam which seems to me to be a PITA. I'd go with the Pertronix.

    release bearing Q

thanks for the reply. The clutch has been in the car approx. 500 mi. I'm just switching over to a cable clutch setup because the old linkage started to go to crap on me with the better clutch. Plus it'll look alot cleaner under the hood.

    release bearing Q

Not too sure what you mean by that. I'm using the T5 bell, stock replacement fork/bearing/cable and a diaphram clutch. It should be no different then your rides. I've just been reading posts here that say you need to take note of how it's positioned when it's replaced so you can install it...

    release bearing Q

I'm putting a cable clutch setup w/T5 in my '67 and thought you guys could help. When installing the release bearing into the fork does it go all the way into the clips or is it supposed to pivot on the hump? I put it in all the way and can't get the tranny in because it doesn't line up. The...

    Rear ends....

I disagree that you don't need anything stronger than an 8" rear with a 289. I have one that's trashed in my garage to prove it...and my 289 is relatively stock.

    Cam choices

I think I'll try the ford cam. I don't expect my car to be super fast now. I'm going to concentrate on the suspension/brakes before I get too crazy. I just know there's more potential with what I have.

    Cam choices

I should be getting my home ported heads back from the machine shop in the next day or 2 and I figured I may as well replace the stock cam while I'm at it. Obviously since these are "stock" heads I know I can't get too crazy. I just need something to tie me over for the next couple years until...
