I can vouch for the Comp Cams XE-274HR. I run that on a set of Edelbrock Performer 5.0 heads (1.90/160) with 1.6 R/R, Performer RPM Intake and a Holley 600dp. 2400 stall, AOD w/3.80's. It moves. Havent been to the strip yet but she gets up and goes!

Mine will not get to 2-3 psi at idle lol. Mine stays around 30-40... Shifts with 3.80's to 4th about 53-55

Dark Buddah, it is exactly as you describe. Put it in drive and go. I set up the cable, never checked the pressure. I have tried every which way. Seems to work best if the cable is a little loose just idling, and pulls the tv to what looks nearly 1:1. I guess its time to pick up a guage!
