I had my UPR catted x-pipe put on today, and it was waaaaaaaaaaaay loud. I put the silencers in from bassani to soften the noise. The main problem was a strong resononce in the cabin at 2000rpm that vibrates the hell out of the inside of the car!!!!! Totally different and meaner sound though!

I had the same problem with my 96 GT. I had the rear diff. bearings ALL changed, and they also did rear wheel bearings . Got car back quiet and smooth with no noise. SOunds like you have rear diff issues, and not to rule out a wheel bearing either.....

yep, it was alluminized to my knowledge...... But half the price of stainless. Should still last 2-4 years at least. Well, its about three times as loud as stock, but a good loud. Just meaner with no resonating in the cabin. When you let off the gas, the sound goes away immediately....kinda cool. You will love the new sound compared to anything you have had before....thus $700 retail for these. I paid 350...
