    engine temp??? is 200 good or is 160 better

    If your engine was optimized to run at that temp it would be fine. On paper an engine can make more power at a lower temp but i dont think thats your case. I would suggest staying around 195. I think thats what thermostat came stock... don't quote me tho?!

    373's in a 5.0 with AOD?

    I wouldnt call them traction problems, but yes you will be more prone to slip. I don't drive my car during the winter for this reason. You could buy some winter tires, but basically the only real cure is to, like you said dont mash the gas.

    I have 3.73's in my modded 5.0, and compared to the stock gears, wow! Gears are the single biggest difference for 200 or whatever bucks that you can get. The ups to 3.73s are that you save gas compared to the 4.10s and but you get less acceleration compared to the 4.10s. Its a preference. I...

    you might get a 30 horsepower increase maybe with a custom cam and rr's. but i doubt it. you might as well do the heads too, ur gonna have to get different springs, and screw in studs for the rr's so the heads are gonna have to be machined. to get 30-50 horsepower you'll prolly need intake...

    Tapping lifters OH MY!

    I just soaked mine in oil for like half an hour prolly didnt even need to be that long. installed them....all you need to do is get both intakes off and then unbolt ur rockers; take off (cant remember what its called) the metal piece that holds the lifters in place (two bolts), and throw them...

    Trany swap

    i dont think thats too bad a price at all. I got my 90 5.0 in immaculate condition for 6K. It had full exhaust, 3.73's, udp, maf, tb and ram air, a brand new beautiful paint job, and new nitto drags. Also only 73000 orginal miles.

    well i got 75mm maf calied. for 19lb injectors and a 70mm tb. Thats better than stock but prolly still not enough. yah i need to do somethin' radical cuz im tired of the bolt on scene thanks again for your help. :nice:

    I did a search and couldn't find the info im lookin for. What does it mean when the fuel pump runs constantly no matter if the key is on or off. Is it grounding out somewhere. It's also very noisy; more than usual. I'm going to drop the tank tonight and check everything out. I'll prolly get...
