    ok so not really. I've been having problems with my the way my car has been running lately. When the PMS switches from piggy back to stand alone and lower RPM's it freaks out and acts like you hit a rev limiter. I've been chasing the problem for quite some time with no solution in sight...

    IIRC the explorers don't use individual coil packs. They use two like the 4.6 cars do. One for each bank.

    So did it actually go faster leaving it in 3rd and over revving it out the back door than it did when you shifted 4th or did you simply bump it off the rev limiter before you made the line? I know I have/had that issue with my car. I was bumping almost 7500 out the back door in 3rd on our 1/8...

    I actually don't like my 3.73's cuz I don't think they are low enough. My car had 4.56's in it for so long it just seemed normal. Now with the 302 and the 3.73's it seems like it's lugging the motor on the highway at 65. :shrug:
