    Can't go wrong with the K&N FIPK or JLT CAI/RAI. I preferred having the coolest stream of air possible all the time, that's why I went with the JLT CAI.

    You are going to have to crank up the power quite a bit before you need to start worrying about the bottom end, mod away! BTW, my exhaust did not have baffles.

    The M3 is an awesome car no question and I'm not familiar how they respond to mods but I know it's hard to beat a s/c'd Cobra for cheap horsepower increases. For less than $1500 you're looking at 500 crank hp with more torque than you'll know what to do with. :)

    I think you need to drive each one of them and then decide. All I can tell you is the grin from driving a Cobra is hard to beat :).

    It's funny you say that because that's how I feel too :). When comparing mine to an '05 Stang GT, which I really like, I feel the Cobra's just look more "bad ass".

    I'm sure an '05 vs '03'-04' Cobra would be a drivers race but the snake would have a bit of an advantage. From what I've seen those 400hp GM's are 400hp while the 390hp Cobra is actually 425hp.

    Like everyone said a manual is much more fun but for consistency and also rush hour traffic you'd have to go with the automatic. If you're not a very good driver the auto will be faster. I know in my case since I drive it daily in rush hour traffic I really don't have time to practice...
