I don't understand why people remove the A/C from their car.. is the weight savings worth it, to get a .2 sec quicker in the 1/4 mile? In the summer it makes it rather nice inside and in the winter it cleans your windows much faster than hot air alone..

not always.. look what Chevrolet has done with the leaf springs on the Corvette.. and that's definitely not as "advanced" as a coil spring..

I've heard about MGW, some people prefer MGW, but for me, I think that I'll stick with MGW..

03/04 Cobra use the same cast iron block as the Mustang GT.. just slighty modified for the forged steel crank..

the reverse lockout is designed too keep you from shifting into reverse when your moving above 5 mph going forward.. (aka, downshifting from 6th into 5th, it will stop you from shifting into reverse, which is a very good thing)

on both my 01 Explorer 4.0 SOHC and 03 Cobra I use Mobil1 5w30. Take them to 10K miles on oil changes and call it good..

your kidding right? the GT would be, guessing here, .3 to .5 sec quicker in the 1/4 than the GT500.. lighter and that extra 75 hp to the ground would really show..

I used to drive 140 miles a day for work.. I tried all the gasolines out there.. Shell, Chevron, ARCO etc.. the best fuel economy I would get was from Chevron, worst was ARCO.. Even though ARCO was much cheaper, in the long run it didn't save money, because I was getting 4 to 5 mpg less with it...

sounds like you all had a great time.. I drove down to Oregon and on Saturday hit some beautiful curvy roads.. warm sunshine, no traffic and 30 mph corners for miles and a full tank of gas in the Cobra.. what's not too love (now driving 250 miles back up in the rain to Everett wasn't fun on Monday)

drove up to Mt St Helens Saturday.. (took the Explorer as I wasn't sure what the weather was going to be like) but it was incredible.. the road was dry, and the coldest it got was 41 degrees. (perfect weather to take the Cobra) I got some photo's and I'll post them when I get them downloaded...

I'd look around and find another good lower mileage fox body and buy that, putting the engine and tranny into it.. (or an old 60's era Mustang)

nice upgrade... I went from a 97 Cobra to a 98 Vette back in 1999.. (but I'm more than satisfied with my 03 Cobra now)

if I'm not doing anything.. I'll show up just for the hell of it.. I already have base numbers, (on both a Mustang and a Dynojet) but will be cool to just see what others make..
