How do I remove the coat hangers?

The small cover has a lip that fits over the rear of the plastic hanger piece. You will have to pry the lip out from the rear plastic and work the vinyl cover up over the plastic hanger. Then you can remove the screw securing the hanger. Just have to be careful removing the vinyl cover so as not...

    Smoking problem

Possible intake gasket leak? Hook up a pressure/vacuum gauge with a length of hose pressed into the grommet on the valve cover once you remove the pcv valve. Than remove the filter from the other valve cover and plug it with something the same size. A light bulb end should work. Start the motor...

    the "NEW" King Cobra

Nice ride! The rear spoiler is almost like the spoiler I have on my coupe. This one is a little taller but still looks good. Now, if only my coupe looked that good.

    Need trans swap info

COBRAIIW, If you decide to use the factory II C4 with the specific II V8 bell the flexplate has 141 teeth. I know Sal knows that, he just got sidetracked between the II V8 automatic flexplate and manual flywheel. The MII V8 factory manual flywheel has 148 teeth.

One fine looking II. Nice work on the whole car. It's up to $1425. Wonder what it'll end at?

    Stupid rear end question

I had a 78 King with the 302, Rad4, and a 3:00 non posi 8". The complete rear is now in my 75 coupe replacing the Detroit that just happened to fall apart one day. It works ok for regular street duty but I don't woof on it because I don't want this rear to fall apart yet.

good place for mustang 2 parts???

I think CT MII is out of the II parts business for some time now. They're into the fox body parts arena. You can find many MII parts at ebay and on the classified section at mii.net. Also check the parts vendors listed at mii.net for some NOS parts.

    Sway Bar Size

Here's an oddball. I have a 77 coupe ( still didn't install the motor and trans for the past ten years yet) that came factory with the front/rear swaybars. It also has the intermittent wiper switch and the leather wrap steering wheel. (Not the rubber one) It was just a plain jane coupe with the...

    Pinto and Mustang II

The front suspension parts look the same as the MII but some of the Pintos had a different style strut rod. Some Pinto and Bobcat gas tanks look like they would also fit. The 8" rear axle assembly is the same. I'm looking for an 8" rear center from a Pinto/Bobcat wagon. Hoping I get lucky and...

What would be a good price?

In my area of Pa. a shop usually gets anywhere around $600. just for the motor install. That's removing the old motor and installing the new one. That would not include installation of the transmission with clutch components. It would not include set up or any new parts either. Depending...

    T-Top Help please...

C.A.R.S. sold out his II inventory to Phil and Rebel didn't have the plastic trim clips in stock. That was about two month ago. Maybe Second Generation has some? I never dealt with him but he has some info on his parts at mii.net. I have a 78 t-top car I don't want. I'm just keeping it...

    STUPID THIEVES!!

That's not a good feeling getting ripped off. A few years ago my garage was broken into and the thieves used some buckets I had there to load up their goods. They stole a lot of tools I had hanging up on the wall at my work bench area, a small battery charger, and a pair of cheap speakers I...

    Breathers and PCV valves

There's no difference in vacuum reading or brake operation. So I will leave the connections where they are. The surge at ide was the idle mixture settings. I left the engine warm up to operating temp and set the mixture screws right around 1 & 1/4 turn out where my idle was the smoothest. The...

    question(s)...

Since the car wants to start sometimes and not at other times the problem could be the ignition module or wiring connections to the module. Could be your alternator is not putting out enough amps to keep the accesories working. Check the regulator and wiring connections on the drivers...
