    GT390 Block. Solid Lifter OK?

The arp/edelbrock studs have slightly smaller shanks than the threads, not as extreme as the factory bolt, but enough to cause no problems, roller rockers also generally don't require nearly as much oil as the standard set up to live. Watch the washers on the stud kit; they hit most roller...

Original Tooling parts and the coating on them

You need to contact the company that the fenders are from. It is probably ELPO (my inner fender was) which I would not reccomend stripping.

    Best RTV for engine rebuild?

Absolutely as little as possible. I HATE RTV, it is way over used. However, "The Right Stuff" is really good when you do need it.

    428 Cam Specs

Lunati also makes a hotted up 428CJ/390GT cam. Melling offers a stock cobra jet grind and Crane did at one time but it isn't in the catalog anymore, perhaps they can do it if you call.

A Little Help From Holley Users

I'm reasonably sure they all have it. It may not be totally hidden, but it isn't glaringly obvious, and can't be adjusted in most cases without removing the carburetor so I refer to it as hidden for lack of a better term as "isn't glaringly obvious, and can't be adjusted in most cases without...

    Can i save this paint?

Unfortunately with either one of those the answer to your original question is probably "NO". In fact any thing you do to try to make it look better is likely to make it look worse. Boiling (which is more commonly called solvent poping at least around here) is pretty common with older refinishes.

    Can i save this paint?

Hard to tell but looks a little like solvent poping (Dupont calls boiling) Take a look here and see which one it looks most like. Dupont Automotive refinish (Performance coatings) Click: Products>Technical Manuals>Paint Defects Manual

    Daily Driver Insurance - Suggestions???

See, the thing is documentation, if you got the documentation to get the agreed value policy; you got the documentation to get the agreed value without the "agreed" policy. Also, nearly every "agreed value" policy I've ever seen has a clause in it that says to effect "if the vehicles overall...

Track Lok Vs. LSD Vs. Detoroit Locker

A "Trac Lok" ***IS*** a (clutch type) LSD. It is just Fords name for it. If you don't want clutches there is the Detroit True Trac which is a gear type LSD. There is also the Auburn which is a cone clutch type with a well deserved reputation for sucking.

    Marine 351?

Casting numbers will be located the same places as any other 351w. I'm not that familiar with windsor ident, but I'm sure there are any number of sources that google would turn up. Most marine engines have a plate (older) or sticker (newer) afixed to the manifold or valve covers showing the...

A Little Help From Holley Users

Did you check for Vaccum at the ported source? When you had the carb off, are the transfer ports in the primarys uncovered? As was said above: You are never going to get this thing to run right until you get it off the mains, the way you do that without having it idling at 250 RPM is...

A Little Help From Holley Users

If it is a 3310 and you have not opened the secondary gap I would just about promise you that you are into the mains at idle, check the ported vacuum above the idle mixture adjustment screw. It should have none (ideally) or very little (workable) at idle. If you have significant vacuum there at...

    Detroit Locker/T-Lock

Actually it will. Under power a locker will lock the wheels togather, but under coast or float it releases, it is a little harsher than a Limited Slip, but no where near a spool. http://www.tractech.com/TechTips.htm
