    BBK O/R H-pipe rubbing???

    I've had similar problems on past cars. For an easy fix I would was get some of that header wrap fabric/insulation and wrapped it around the area on the pipe where it hits the crossmember. Always eliminated the clanking noise and kept the heat off of the crossmember, at least til it wore through.

    What does a Kenne Bell "Shoot Out" / "Power" Switch do? (2003 Cobra)

    Uncle Meat is right. The KB chip has 2 settings - "power" is for pump gas and "shootout" is for 110+ octane because of the increased timing.

    H&R Springs ......

    I have the H&R race, although stiffer than the Sport, not a huge difference. I also went with the Bilstein's when I had my '01... can't go wrong with those. Nice street/track combo. You also should consider a set of caster/camber plates once the car is lowered so you can get your alignment right.

    You'll probably be fine, but be careful if you drive it WOT because you might get some detonation. I'd throw in a bottle of octane booster just for insurance.

    20's on any stang is just silly. Like everyone says, stick with 17's or 18's and you'll be happy with the look and performance.

    I used to run 275-35-18 Nittos on my lowered '01 Cobra without any problems, Nittos run narrow. I have 265 BFG's on my '03 and they don't rub.

    Surging in 2nd and 3rd

    I've been told the Walbro pumps may cause surging since they are not designed for returnless fuel systems. A have a friend that had similar surging problems on a blown car and replaced his walbro with another pump (I can't remember which one though sorry) and the surging went away.

    In the mean time you ought to remove the egr tubes to prevent further cylinder damage. This was done to my car during install and I haven't had a single problem with the MAC's.

    I had 4.10's in my SC'd '01 Cobra and loved them, and yes you'll definately need drag radials... :D

    I've heard it won't and will leave a large gap. I think you will have to use the BBK h.

    Again, thanks for all the compliments! :) Not the same car. There are a few guys on that board with MG and DSG Cobras with the same type wheels and sizes.

    Thanks again for the compliments. :cheers: The wheels are 18x9.5 in front and 18x11 in the rear. The tires are Nitto 275/35/18 in front and BFG 295/35/18 gforce DR's in the rear.

    Thanks! I have an o/r h-pipe on now with a magnaflow cat-back, but it's too loud for my taste. I'm going to try a catted h and see if it quiets it down.
