Why fellow fastback People so frumpy?

I'll be honest, I never return the wave :( It always seems like both my hands are busy whenever someone waves at me, either with my stereo's remote, or holding onto the wheel but I think I have returned like one wave since I moved down to *drumroll* Santa Barbara */drumroll*

    Chronic Overheating Probs

I see what you are saying, but what I said was that with a 160 thermostat the coolant will be constantly moving and will only be able to spend a few seconds in the radiator before being sucked back into the engine so it has no time for the excess heat to be absorbed by the ambient temp outside...

    Chronic Overheating Probs

Just a little update, I'm gonna ditch the 14" fan and stock shroud so I went ahead and ordered a new 17" flex fan and one of those plastic shrouds, hopefully it will be here by the end of the week. While I'm installing those I will take a replace the thermostat, it is about 2.5 years old so it...

    new alternator question

Yes that is my alternator, you will not need to replace the regulator, but you will need to tie back or remove the stock wires that run to the regulator. I removed my old regulator completely, btw one wire alternators are internally regulated. Since I've replaced the alternator I tested it...

    new alternator question

It's the 3G alternator, one wire hookup, I believe it came on 94-95 GT's, rated at 130amps, and can be found for around $100 including warranty from any Vatozone or Napa The powermaster that I'm running has a black thermal coating, but it is also offered with the natural finish. The reason I...

Help me cool this sucker down!

It is a 16" and the height is 15 3/4 so I don't know if you can make that work or not. I just wish I had the clearance to run this fan as it moves some serious air... oh well.

    new alternator question

Like I said earlier, if you really want to believe that for a timespan of 6 months I recieved a grip of the worlds poorest poorest quality parts known to man then yeah I would agree that it may have just been a coincedence. However don't you think it may be just a little (just a tiny bit)...

    new alternator question

No thanks I don't want to relive that, I remember all of your issues fine, from your propane truck to your neighbors that were getting pissy cause you were parking on the streets, to you doing a burnout to piss them off and then busting your cam (Longest cam swap ever btw) AGAIN in the process...

    new alternator question

Anyways back to the topic at hand, here is a short timeline of my CHARGING PROBLEMS (OMG It must have been something else!!!1!!11!) Several years ago I bought my mustang, shortly after I installed a stereo. Within a few months my alternator was dead, oh well it was probably on it's way out...

    new alternator question

That's ok, beg to differ all you wish, however speaking from experience you do not want to lean on the stock alternators too hard, they do not like it. Before I bought the powermaster I went through three alternators in a matter of 18 months, and they love to go out with other components such...

    new alternator question

I really REALLY don't think that a stock alternator can handle what you are asking of it. I've had very bad experiences with the stock alternators caused by my little stereo that probably draws on average about what your electric fan does. I finally got sick of dealing with the charging...

Help me cool this sucker down!

do you have enough clearance to put the electric fan on the front of the radiator as a pusher fan and run an engine driven fan as well? If not I'd definately look into upgrading your fan, either to a clutch/direct drive unit or a higher flowing electric. I have a Zirgo fan that is rated at...
