thanks for the replys. I believe the fuel was coming up through the tank not from the hose. I will check the hose though. If thats all it is I can replace that no problem. If it's the tank then I will have to park it in the garage until the weather is nicer to remove the tank.

Why don't you buy one of the thermostat housings that have the threaded opening so you can't screw in the sensor? Thats what I did. Working out well so far. I see you have a similar response in the VMF. Probably the easiest thing to do.

Ok. Finally reached a consensus. I will go with 85 Switched 12V- 86 Temp Switch- 87 +Side of Fan- &30 12V from battery w/inline fuse. Thanks for everyones help.

Even after doing searching I have come across a few different ways to wire the relay. Not sure which one to use. Maybe I'll just have to do both & see which one turns the fan On/Off correctly & if the fan is running which one will shut the fan off with the ignition off

I did remove the wire from the coil & it is 12 volts when the ignition is on. When I put the wire on the +side of the coil & test it it drops to 7 volts with the key on. Not sure if that is what it's supposed to do or is the coil bad. the new coil I bought is even less at5 volts in the on position.

I did run it from a 12v switched source. The wire does have 12 volts when I test it without it hooked up to the coil. maybe the 12 volts only show when I crank the engine. Will have to try to get my wife to crank the engine while I test it.
