    Depends on if you are forged or not....stock 6-8lbs. not stock 13-14 pretty easily. Remember these cars have forged cranks, but other than that nothing if forged. Most vortech kits come 4-6lbs if i remember right.

    things to look for in buying a 96-98 cobra

    The 96's had an overheating problem, not necissarily common. Other than that it is second gear synchros in the tranny, not first. You might want to replace the shifter right away with an aftermarket shifter. It will reduce slop in the stock one, which leads to longer synchro and or tranny...

    Vortech s-charger on a cobra

    vortech says just don't hit boost and don't take it above 4k rpms and you can drive it without a tune. I would be careful, if you have access to a truck and trailer it would be good but you should be alright if you like he said, drive with an eggshell under the fun pedal!

    without gears your dohc will never feel like ur 5.0, completely different design. One built for off the line torque and one built for high revving speed...gears are your only option, and no a cai will not net you 10hp, just drop in a k&n and you will nearly get everything excpet the looks of a cai.

    Alrighty, as far as the speed goes, no these cars are not slow. They can easily clip high 13's stock maybe k&N or such. As a daily driver i love mine. If you aren't on the gas they put around town like it's nothing. They don't have all the low end torque of a 5.0 so if you leave a stop light...

    Or it could just be the random cobra clunk, just slack in the drivetrain. Mine does it if i put it in first after being in a highway gear for awhile. But nothing seems to get hurt so i just let it go. Good luck, they are noisy cars by nature.

    Alls it does is tells the computer the intake air is cooler than it is. Therefore the computer advances the timing(or retards don't remember) and it dumps more fuel to compensate for the cooler air. Alls this will do is make the car run rich and you could foul a plug. These things are pieces...

    Spec seems to be the standard for our cars. It's a really good clutch, regardless it will be better than a stock one for holding launches.

    Minimal to no gains, drop in a K&N, it will do as much as a CAI on a stock engine. Difference of less than 2 hp. 50$ is much better than 150$ atleast for me...
