    help..94 power seat track failure..

It looks like the pinion gears are shot on my 94 power seat rack assy. Is this common? Anyway, 50resto.com wants $225+ for a new one. I saw a few on E-bay, but one post was questionable and the other one was over $100 inluding s&h. I'd like to fix mine, but it looks like the assy was riveted...

    Pro 5.0 shifter install questions..

After I went to adjust the stops, I realized how stupid my question was. If I moved the stops toward the shifter the shifter would not engage properly. duhh. Also, as for my knucles hitting the console.....well it helps to have the handle mounted straight and not backwards. Sorry to waste...

    Pro 5.0 shifter install questions..

94 T5 I just finished the install... 1. The directions say to "move stop until it touches shifter handle and then back off 1 full turn and set lock nut". Does the stop needs to be moved towards or away from the shifter handle? The directions make it sound away, but that doesn't make...

That thing the spring slides over.

Make sure your bushings for your sway bar and lower control arm are lubricated. Spray silcone spray on each bushing and drive the car. If the noise is lessened, then it's a worn bushing. I had a similar squeek/scrape like noise, and it turned out to be an outer tie-rod end. Could it be a...

That thing the spring slides over.

Is it black and plasic like? If so, then it is probably just some sort of dust shield...similar to what is on your struts. Check you ball joint...jack the wheel off the ground and grab the top and bottom of the tire...push in and out..there should be ver very little movement...anything more...

Driveshaft rubs on e-brake cable bracket!

I had the same problem on my 94. Jimmy LaRocca from LaRocca's performance found the problem and reattached the brocken bracket using rivets. It worked. You may want to give a call since you live in Jersey for advice on your 88. I don't think it's supposed to hang. Worst case...a bracket may...

    ? about Pro 5.0 shifter

I just received my 5.0 shifter, and the top of the shifter's handle (where the grip screws on) is off-set 20-25 degrees. Is this normal? I'm thinking it was designed this way for better shifts? Thanks!

a/c retro fit r134a kits do they work?

Conversions have a history of working for a year or so, but then the compressor usually winds up failing. When that happens, the compressor, accumulator/drier, and orifice tube will have to be replaced. I am dealing with this same issue on my mom's 86 Escort. I would have your system...

grease fittings on BBK control arms

There supposed to. These had fine threads on them which stripped when they pooped out. I only used 4-5 pumps of the grease gun. It must be a design or build problem.

grease fittings on BBK control arms

Has anyone experienced problems with the grease fittings on BBK's rear lower control arms? My fittings are shot after one greasing. If I try to grease them, they fall out or get stuck in my greasguns's nozzzle. I drive 'em back in with a 1/4 socket but if I try to grease them, they pop out...
