Vibration from 2500 or 3k up to redline

Have you looked at the torque boxes? If it feels like something is droping when you shift I had that same problem, I put in battle boxes and it went away. The vibration could be tranny mounts, drive shaft.

Fiberglass Spare Tire Box in progress pics

The Shredded mat will work better it will cover easier. I would say you probably only need 1-2 layer more around your air holes and you should be done. I have used 3 layers before and have had NO problems with it at all and that was with a hard hitting 15" sub.

    Amp Rack

I used some pig tails out of a wrecked car and spliced in my existing wires. So now I can unhook everything quickly. The only ones that slow me down are the power and ground, but I'm working on those with some Winston Cup style battery plugs there about $45 but it will be worth it.

    ? about speaker hole

You can cut the metal behind it. I did and so far I have not had any problems (1year now). I made a fiberglass bucket behind the speaker where I cut the metal out so the speaker wouldn't be "free air". Sounds so much better that way. Don't know if it would help with your speakers or not.

relocating head unit in '90 5.0, possible?

Try this link..... http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=506258 I did it and it worked great only took me about an hour from start to finish. I used plexiglass for the trim plate, painted it black from the back side so it wouldn't scratch the paint off if the front of it got nicked.

painting equipment! what do you suggest?

It will work OK for painting. I would be a little concerned it would have a hard time keeping up with a 25 gallon tank. Depends on how you like to paint, I personal pound it on nice and heavy with a 1.5 tip in the gun and air preasure at 28 psi, and the fuild tip wide open. But I learned how to...

    Poor Paint Quality

Actually they will repaint for the "thin" areas. The problem is yellow is very transparent, so it doesn't cover as well. On the inside under the hood and such the paint will look greenish because there is even less coverage and the sealer underneath is throwing the color off. If you request the...

Car out of body shop, need detailing help

You don't really mention if it's overspray or just dust. If its just dust from the sanding process it will wash off with soap and water. If it's overspray I would make the shop take care of it.

How do i smooth this fiberglass?

After the 80 grit work your way to finer grits. Try 180 grit after the 80 and then some 220 grit. Then you should be ready for primer.

How do i smooth this fiberglass?

First thing, what grit paper are you sanding with? The pits are called pinholes. When you mix in the cream harder into the filler don't whip it in, fold it over itself, this will lessen the chance of pin holes. If your getting tracks it's because you are not sanding correctly. Let the paper do...
